OH! THE PANE!
My Daddy was all bald up like a sleepy rat. He keeped sayin "OH! THE PANE!"

Then the nother day he sayed "OH! THE PANE!"

And he sayed it the nother days.

Finely he sayed "Sissy I got to go to the hopstittel." So he crawd out to the truk and lade down on the flore. Then he sayed "oh my goodys I can not drive the truk - you will have to drive."

So I got in the truk to and sayed "I can not get my foot to the things on the flore verry good" and my daddy sayed "I will do the things on the flore and you can do the steerin thing."

I sayed "ok".

So I sayed "make it go" and we rolled down the dribeway to the rode.

Kno what?
When we was ridin down the rode I seen a tree rat ON THE RODE! I sayed "oh no! there is a perty flutter bug flyin aroun that will get runned over if we do no go FAST!" So my daddy pushed the thing reeeel good and we went REEL FAST and the tree rat seen the truk and sayed "OHMYGAWD!" and hopped reeeel good and runned off the rode to the dert and I steered the truk at the dert to and the truk bumped reeeel good and my daddy sayed "OH! THE PANE!" and I sated "sawry but I did not want to run over the flutter bug" (heheheh!). That crazy tree rat got a way tho.

So we got to the hopstittel and my daddy crawd out and sayed "you crazy dog this is the aminal hopstittel" and I sayed "oh".

He sayed we need to go to the nother hopstittel byside Pet Stor and Wennys Supper Windo and I sayed "oh".

Any ways we got to the nother hopstittel and my daddy crawd in side.

In a minit the ners got to the truk and sayed "are you Happy Nice Sarabelle?" and I sayed "yes - is he ded?" She sayed "no - he got belly bugs and butt werms and poots".

She sayed they was goin to cut off his guts with belly bugs - I theenk it was the apennix guts.

I sayed "will y'all berry the guts in the yard?" and she sayed "no we will prolly let the kittykitty eet them". And I sayed "ew!" and she sayed "I kno!"

She sayed "do you want to come in side and watch TB and play with kids and eet chips?" and I said "no I will stay out heer and look at that tree rat over ther some more".

In a minit my unkel Tommy got in the truk and we rode to Grin Daddys and MawMaws house the my daddy got ther the nother day and I sayed "Are we goin to the Sippy Walkin Woods to werk on the trale now?" and he sayed "NO! THE PANE!" and I sayed "oh".

I awoke Saturday, 3/30, with a belly ache - the first day of Spring break. I went to the ER the following Wednesday, and had the surgery late that night. I arrived here at my dad's last Friday for recovery. I'm gonna miss at least two weeks of school. The Doc said to expect 4-6 weeks for recovery...
Six weeks? That'd be the last day of school! No way!! My guys have WAAAAY too much to get buttoned-up by the end of the year...

...some Spring break, ay?

My oldest daughter had her appendix removed last month. She collapsed at school and scared us pretty good. We didn’t let the dog drive her to the hospital though.

Hope you recover as quickly as a 13 year old.

Thank God for Sarabelle. She is amazing. Hope you are well on your way back to class! No wonder you didn't reply to my email to you about where I was spending my Spring Break. Thanks for the ferry standby tip.

Silver Lining: At least it happened when you were able to get to the hospital. What if you were 20 miles from a trailhead!

Sarabelle tells an amazing story!

Good grief, Gojo and Violin. Hope both appendicitis suffers get well quick! p.s. Violin, I'm glad that you didn't let your dog drive your daughter to the hospital. The traffic in your area is rough!

Gojo would have died if he was with the TT'ers in the sipsey..we were spinning yarns about how we weren't packin noone out..and if we did we'd hack em up and divide him among the able. *grins* Gut instinct looks like it stepped in on your decision. Hope you get better..and have a better looking Apd scar than mine!

Hmmmm... yeah... TTers could do an emergency appendectomy, but it'd be like your brother-in-law fixing the toaster: there'd be some parts left over when the were through...

"That's okay, you won't need these."

Hots for Sarabelle
Gojo, my dog, Khatru, loves me to read Sarabelle's posts to him...whenever I tell him that she has posted a new story, he spins around a gets very excited. I think he has the hots for her. When I am finished reading all her stories...he has to go and take a cold shower. Khatru has a virtual GF.

Now I need to get one...human though, not canine. ( I wanted to make that perfectly clear, one can;t be too cautious on this site)

Hope yor fellin better soon.

When conducting sergurey in the woods, don't bother to pack some string, just think like all good backpackers do. What item can do the job of two? A knife, it can both make the insition, and seal yah back up (hot knife)

Gojo, and to think, belly couldn't have done the driving if she was minuse a paw. BTW, how is all of that going anyway?

I see a sitcom in the works...Gojo and Sarabelle! We already have the material for half a season of shows! Sort of a demented version of Lassie.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Gojo, and darned if sarabelle doesn't tell a better story than my creative writing students. My Leatherman Micra is primed for any emergency surgery.

I've always wondered if I could pull it off after my brother, who was a Navy corpsman, told me how to do an emergency trach with a Bic pen. Hope it's not a TTer I get to find out with.
