My grocery store makes their brand of stuffed potatoes with sour cream, bacon bits, and some kind of cheese. I threw the box out so I don't know what else is in it. I bought so many on sale, I had to take them out of the box and put them in zip lock freezer bags.

Okay, I also has 3 appetizers they make also. They are small stuffed rigatoni that are breaded and fried and stuffed with ricotta, roasted peppers and I think some kind of cheese. Again, on sale, so I threw the box out and they went into zip locks.

I am trying lahmacun for the first time today. (There's a Turkish festival going on at the Daley Center plaza.) It's a blend of spices and lamb and some other stuff all wrapped in some sort of flat bread. Yummy!!!!

What's for lunch? wth kind of question is that - same thing that's for lunch every day, chicken patties. Seriously, they need to expand their menue just a little bit around here, If lunch/supper is provided to me at all, it's one of three things - chicken patties, sloppy joes, tacos or spaghetti. That's the extent of the menu, 6 days a week, 2 meals a day...

Whole Foods has a really expensive premade food area. I can't remember prices now, but they were ridiculous for plain old chicken. I stopped going there because they are not near me, and they stopped selling aroncini or something like that. It's Italian for rice ball. They used to sell really good ones.

I have a new store near me called Metropolitan Market, formly called Thriftway for the ones that were already built and taken over, and some still are Thriftways, but I just call it the "expensive store". People don't even use wagons, just small carrying bins since no one would really do any kind of weekly shopping there with their extra high prices.

I had the most delicious lunch. It was leftover home made pasta (linquine) in a carbonara sauce w/chicken and broccoli. It was my first time using my pasta machine.

Next will either be spaghetti w/red sauce, or with broccoli cooked then sauteed in oil and lemon on home made pasta or RAVIOLI!!! I can't get good ravioli in WA. I'm really looking forward to making them.

pitts, I love carbonara tortelli. I made a mistake, I made home made fettucine, not linguine for it w/the chicken and broccoli. They sell it in stores, but mine is soooo much better.

This pasta maker has a ravioli cutter too and I forget what else. I like angel hair, so I hope it has a cutting blade for that too.

Just had one of the newer types of MREs, the Beef Enchilada in Sauce was pretty good. The Refried Beans are well, refried beans.
The Cheese Spread with Jalapenoos and the crackers are damn good, and I have a Chocolate Mint Cookie with Chocolate Chips for desert!

Oh yeah, I'm saving that nice long handled MRE spoon for use with my backpacking freeze dried meal bags.

That yummy description kind of makes me feel foolish for cooking home made sauce and making home made ravioli when I could have opened up an MRE, lol:)

Yep, another MRE spoon.
I'm not so sure these things are made to be washed and reused too many times.
Some plastics can absorb nasty stuff.
Anyone know?

Hee hee, I will probably start carrying a couple of spares in case HPM forgets his spoon again and I see him carving one from a piece of wood.
