This site seems to be working.

For years we had to double click/reload/reboot to catch the latest posts.

What nugget of programming logic finally turned the screw? TT in spite of it's poor asthetics is finally working.

TT has always worked for me...maybe it's your server or computer that had a problem.

One computer updates for me, the other does not. Go figure.

Something else is missing. At the bottom of the page, there used to be a place to go back to the list of posts. After scrolling to the bottom it was easy to go back to the list. No longer.

Yeah, I miss the Trail Talk deal at the bottom of the page too.

It never used to refresh if I used the back button. Does it now?

Scroll to the top and click on trail talk in the Sections menu.

Yeah, skully, but I used to scroll down to the last message, and not have to scroll back up, cause the same thing was at the bottom. Don't you get tired of scrolling?

I have a scroll button on my mouse. I just click it with my thumb and push the mouse up to get to the top of the page. Of course, there's always the up arrow key on the keyboard. Too much scrolling will wreck your hand!

I want that little clickable Trail Talk thingy at the bottom too. I noticed that it was gone yesterday.

bacpac,
My little programming secret is "do nothing at all". That's right, I didn't change a thing to speed up the pages. A lot of the speed associated with loading a webpage is perception. There was one study that showed that Amazon's webpage took longer to load than other sites, but because it was easy to navigate, people's perception of the load time was "quicker" than other pages.

And for those of you who asked, I added the link back to the TT main page at the bottom of the thread.

Thanks Matt...if the thread is only 1 page, I use the "Back" button. If it's more than 1 page I use the link back to the TT main page...it's faster.
