Primus Alpine Micro

“Just ordered this stove from REI Outlet. Anyone used it. Will it work with MSR canisters or just Primus.”

Are white gas stoves still best at high elevations and severe cold weather? Or has that general tidbit changed with technology??”

I have that stove and I love it. Yes, it will use MSR cannisters.”

Love the SnowPeak, took it on the JMT. Took a Pocket Rocket as a backup but only used it once to try it. I liked the SP better. Works in high el so far, but white gas is probably better, but heavier.”
