Let's see the sauce consisted of: 5-6 oz of ham...half and onion, and 3 cloves of garlic sauteed over medium heat..then add 3/4 cup of Heavy cream...cook down for 10-15 min...then add half a can of tomatoe sauce...leave on medium low and salt...Boil Half a package of Rotini pasta in salted water 8-9 min..When done Strain and set...Pour sauce over Rotini...salt and add a generous amount of Motzrella...once melted..grate fresh Parmesan over the top...serve with sourdough..toasted and 5-6 cold dry beers...mmmmmmmmmmmmm ain't life grand.....Pat fat stomach..and smile....

I could do without the ham and the "dry" beer. Otherwise sounds good. I prefer my beer wet.

I had a late lunch, so I made a smoothie from my kick-butt formula. This is a great energy booster if anyone wants to try it, and darn good for you:

3 ice cubes
1 apple
5 medium sized strawberries
1 bananna
1 container of Dannon blueberry yogurt
1 cup of orange juice

Throw them all in a blender, whip it until it's all liquid, and you have something fantastically delicious!

It's easy -- put glass to mouth, tilt, swallow. If you find it that difficult you can even use a straw (tho it does cut in on the "cool" factor.)

I'm currently working on Phil's ribs from the recipe he posted on the InSearchOfThePerfectRib thread. I bought a nice merlot for the recipe and I think it will go well with the ribs when they're done. Wish me luck. I'll let you know how it turns out, assuming of course that I don't eat myself into a stupor!

I recall a dehydrated beer was test marketed several years ago. The alcohol was in in some water soluble capsules.

It tasted like @#$%$#@. Probably why it never made it to market.

Sk - How did you smoke them?

Using my Weber kettle BBQ, I usually put the coals on one side and the ribs over the drip pan (filled with water, wine and garlic). The wood chips go on the coals either directly (if soaked) or dry (if in a metal pan).

I smoke them for 2-4 hours depending on high or low heat.

If I use my electric water smoker, it takes longer. Birch uses a very low temperature and takes 12 hours. That makes them even more tender.
