Keep your stove by the edge of the river-
Catch a fish
Gut the fish
Fire up stove
Add butter or light oil
cook fish with dusting of salt
eat it out of the pan
Then lay down and die-it will never be any better.

Clean trout, leave head on. Jab stick into ground very near to coals in firepit. Dangle the trout tail up from the stick. Push coals embers under head of trout. retrieve fish before stick burns up. Yum.

Trou jowels
We almost did that once. We didn't have anything to cook them in so we found some thin sheets of granite about 1/4" thick and built a fire with large rocks around it. We layed the granite sheet over the rocks and grilled the trout on that. They turned out great!

Leave the heads on and enjoy the Jowels!

Kind Of Like Aero Said
Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil.

Squeeze Margarine
Lemon Pepper
Salt

Clean fish, add above ingredients, cook in coals of fire for a few minutes on each side. Don't forget to eat the best part of the fish, the cheeks. Like little medalions.
