Here's one of my favorite pick up places, I have tried this few times and have been somewhat successful.
Go to your local grocery store. Cruise around with your cart about 1/4 full. Have a hand full of coupons.
Ok now start scoping out the babes.
Saturdays are good.
Find one you like and some what follow her and act like your looking at an item. Then at a good momment ask her for some help.
They WILL always help.
This gets you in the door for small talk.
Then you go on about how you just started to do your own shopping (lets her know your single), If going well and she does not blow you off, ask her the 'ole "do you shop here often" line with a smile and a slight laugh to let her, 1) you have a sense of humor and 2) so you dont sound too corny.
If she replies nicely to you, then introduce yourself.
Hopefully she gives you her name back (her real one lol)....
Then what I do is ask if I could shop with her, or maybe even ask her for a number to go to dinner, or even ask her if she would like to have me make dinner for her that night.
It take BIG ones to get the nerve up.
We have a 3-4 different grocery stores in the area, so if you get shot down. You just shop at a different store and try again. lol
Obviously there are many different twists to it and you can modify it any way that works or makes you feel comfortable. I would like to know any if you try and are successful though! haha

My good friend is in the middle of a divorce and he still loves her so he is having simular difficulties, I have told him the same thing I need to say to my self at times I feel like a hypracrit, because I tell him what you all have told me. I do it to be strong for him. The old saying "easier said then done"
