Hey, where was this thread yesterday when I needed it!!

yeah, dating sucks and so do most men!!! (I have to assume that there are still one or two out there that are hopeful or I'm screwed... and not in the fun way either!)

Spent all weekend w/ my kids, came back to school and called my friend who said he'd call me back and then he didn't. ONly time he does that is when he's w/ someone else. Bastard!!! then he has the balls to call me last night and wonder what I'm up to. I wasn't lying when I said I had homework. I'm curious if he'll call tonight or tomorrow. I'll keep you posted. Maybe he'll just call his ho back and I can move on w/ my life.

I'd say that's pretty bad, Ewker.

Not because your lawyer is a woman necessarily... but because I'm thinking a divorce lawyer would've seen every trick in the book!

Y2, no games. Just saying if you aren't getting treated with respect, then forget him (or her as the case may be) There are too many fish in the sea to put up with that kind of stuff.

If someone is going to tell me they are going to call or whatever and then not do whatever they said they would and I get the feeling they are dicking me around, I won't stick around for it. Same goes for me. When I was "on the market," I was up front with the guys if I wasn't interested. No beating around the bush. I'm not going to tell him I'm washing my hair if I have a date with someone else.

No games here. My earlier comment was just stating the fact that oftentimes when someone stops pursueing and waiting around for the other, the first person suddenly becomes more attractive again.

Hey, thanks for the support. I know I should just forget about him but it's hard putting yourself back out there and looking for someone else.

I guess I'm just not comfortable yet being by myself indeterminably. Not that I don't enjoy my own company (Many times, most times) but it's just nice knowing someone cares about you and visa versa, you know? Guess I just haven't found the right person to care about.

mtnmom2, weren't you the one who posted somewhere recently that you had a man who, although you weren't together, it was "great" cuz he was absolutely trustworthy?

I was thinking it was some name like yours, so just checking.....

The best way to get to know a girl "really" is to take her hiking during the peak of mosquito season with at least 12 miles roundtrip and 3,000' elevation gain/loss. You'll know her pretty good by then, for better or for worse.
Buck

that is true, the answers ( most likely all of them, even the ones to questions you didn't knw about yet ) will be readily apparent by the time that is over with.

You speaking from experience Buck?
Roam Around

3,000' elevation gain/loss? Is that the best a guy from out west - where the "real" mountains are - can do? and skeeters?

is there suppose to be a challenge buried in that scenario somewhere?

Okay, wingding. I can top that one. The best way to REALLY get to know a girl is to take her hiking during the peak of mosquito season with at least 12 miles roundtrip and 3,000' elevation gain/loss DURING HER PERIOD. Then you'll really get to know her, for better or for worse. Period.
