“It is getting to the point that people may have to start carrying guns without the law knowing just to protect themselves. When the Lubby's diner was shot up in Kileen, TX, one of the patrons left her handgun in the car because in Texas at that time it was illegal to carry in a place that served alcohol. After the shootings, where she watched her father die, she said she would never do that again. She said that she had many opportunities to shoot the shooter.

Living in America has always been a two edged sword. To ensure the first amendment we need the second. Without the first we are not free, the second keeps us free. It is as simple as that. From time to time there are people who abuse the rights they have as an American and do very bad things. There is nothing that can be said that will bring back those who have died, nor take away the pain. But to have the freedoms we have there will always be strife. These seem like empty platitudes and maybe it is because the actions of some are just hard to understand. I do find it interesting that the last two school shooters were on medication to keep them sane and once they got off the meds they shot up a school. Rosey had a good idea about a national database for people who take meds to regulate moods. I would have to say the same about gun registration as I would say about drug registration. No. As of right now there is no formal gun registration in America and I do not think there should be, just as I don't agree with a drug registration. Where would either of those end? Be happy you live in America, take the freedoms we have and use the ones you wish and be happy there are more if you need them. Guns are here to stay, they will never go away because when they do, say goodbye to America as a whole. I know I rambled a bit in this message, I just can't order my thoughts on this issue enough to be clear and succinct, maybe when I shed this cold my thoughts will be a bit more understandable, till then, bear with me.”
