Great Pictures
When was this trip? I was hiking Cascade Head, and Road's End Beach on the 14th and 15th of this month.(April) I love that area. In the vincinity of the stepped walkway I've ran into a herd of Elk on more than a few occasions. That place is overflowing with wildlife.

Thanks for the pics...

Nice pictures--I sure like the slideshow for viewing them I got cable a couple of weeks ago so it is not so painfully slow.

backpacking Orgen
Hi

We are attempting to plan a backbacking to Oregon. We have never been to Oregon and are in need of help. We are a party of 4 and would like to hike 5-8 miles with elevation gain of less than 1800 ft.a day for 3 days. Preferably a Loop Trail. Do not want to hike under the canopy of forest. A hike that takes us above timerline that would give us beautiful views. Maybe to a lake to fish. Are there designated camp site?
Your input would be appreciated.

Try the Timberline trail around Mount Hood. It's a loop about 40 miles long. If you don't mind the extra miles, I think it fits what you are looking for.

USA - I never tire of the Oregon coast, even though I live here. I travel 101 south quite a few times a year. This area is spectacular summer or winter! Thanks for the picture!
