Fiery Gizzard Trip Report

“Katibug, Bob, Stan, Marie, and Rick started out on the trail at the Grundy Co. side at 10:00 a.m. We hiked through the gorge and arrived at Ravenpoint campsite at 3:00 p.m. It was quite a hike! After setting up camp, we strolled out to Raven Point. Nice views. Saturday night we saw fireflies! It was a warm night and towards morning there came a gentle rain. Sunday we hiked to Foster Falls trailhead. We started at 9:00 a.m. and finished at 2:00 p.m. It was a rewarding hike. Thanks to Rick for helping shuttle the vehicles on Sat.

To all who did not get to make this hike may you be able to come out for another hike soon.”

“Sorry-I did not see that posting before I left early Sat. morning. Hope you can come out another time. By the way, the May 18-19 trip location has been changed from Mammoth Cave NP to Virgin Falls.”
