My father-in-law had something like that. All lowers had to go, then because the jawbone was weak, they fitted in metal posts and laid in pieces of cowbone to bond to his jawbone. Was supposed to take 6 mos. to heal and a year later it still wasn't right. We recently found out his surgeon was "questionable", and now he's going to someone else and making fast progress. Just make damn sure that your dentist and maxillofacial surgeon are the real thing! Then, you should be okay. I think much of it comes down to what condition the underlying jawbone is in.

Sweet tooth
I have finally learned to brush my teeth regularly, now that I have no teeth!
--------------------------------
Separately, I have received upper and lower "instant dentures." The dentures were each ready and inserted within 5 to 30 minutes after they pulled my teeth and sewed the gums together. They had to smooth some of the jaw bone when they did the lower. Months later each of the dentures was relined. Minor adjustments were made as needed.

A dental technician explained the procedure to me. He said that the next step after a few years is to have some good dentures made!

I got my two front teeth knocked out about 12 years ago when I tested for my Black Belt. I used a partial for a few years but I hated it. It was uncomfrotable and it came out when I ate. I eventually got a perminate bridge. I forget it's not my real teeth sometimes.

Stay away from the partial!!!!

Tae Kwon Do
I earned the belt that testing but I did my board breaks with busted teeth. Broke all three stations just fine too.

I also studied Tang Soo Do but it wasn't a real great school and didn't really learn much there.

Either that or have them install a couple of Vampire teeth just to freak people out.

I think you should be sure and get one of those poison teeth, you know the kind where you bite down on it so the Commies can't get any info out of you....

oh wait

You're a poet, not a spy.

Never mind.

I wear a bottom partial. I do not take it bping with me because the the maintenance on the thing in the field is a pain. The first time I bped after getting it I ended up knocking the cup holding my partial over in the night, what a mess.
