Or, steal it from a Chinese Walmart and they'll wash your pain on down the drain. last edited: 9/08/09 10:04:23 AM” 10:22:09 AM 9/08/09 “Well this is not going to look good...LOL Who am I kidding the dems are the party of baldfaced Corruption. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/09/10/cnn-poll-double-digit-post-speech-jump-for-obama-plan/ The sample of speech-watchers in this poll was 45 percent Democratic and 18 percent Republican. Our best estimate of the number of Democrats in the voting age population as a whole indicates that the sample is about 8-10 points more Democratic than the population as a whole.” 11:45:46 AM 9/10/09 “the results may favor Obama simply because more Democrats than Republicans tune into the speech But that didn't stop CNN from printing the "omg!! double digit gain!!" headline, though, did it. This is a good case example of media bias.” 12:09:59 PM 9/10/09 “They never get tired of sucking Rupert Murdoch's dick.” 12:36:45 PM 9/10/09 “Leave the dough girl alone, bully, Becky Glen is a snow white hooker.” 1:10:02 PM 9/10/09 ““They never get tired of sucking Rupert Murdoch's dick.” Tllt 2:36:45 PM 9/10/09 T*lt is the expert.” 1:29:46 PM 9/10/09 “LOL..Stovie more than you know.” 1:32:43 PM 9/10/09 “Are two flippin' a coin to see who sucks mine?” 3:45:44 PM 9/10/09 “I don't care if you are liberal, conservative, or dead possum in the road (moderate) this should scare the living crap out of you. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/10/19/white-house-official-says-obama-team-controlled-media-coverage-campaign/ The Obama campaign's press strategy leading up to his election last November focused on "making" the media cover what the campaign wanted and on exercising absolute "control" over coverage, White House Communications Director Anita Dunn told an overseas crowd early this year. In a video of the event, Dunn is seen describing in detail the media strategy used by then-Sen. Barack Obama's highly disciplined presidential campaign. The video is footage from a Jan. 12 forum hosted by the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development in the Dominican Republic. "Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn't absolutely control," Dunn said, admitting that the strategy "did not always make us popular in the press." yeah right now you have the liberal feel good whiney butt left in there. But imagine if you get a right wing wacko religious group in the leadership (um Tilty it can happen). Imagine if the drones that make up most of our society just get the pablum fed by the lamestream media.... So here is the question, could a relatively civilized nation descend into some sort of wierd society where scapegoats are imprisoned and the media prints glowing tributes to the leadership?” 5:44:39 AM 10/20/09 “The Obama campaign's press strategy leading up to his election last November focused on "making" the media cover what the campaign wanted and on exercising absolute "control" over coverage They're still doing it, as violin is demonstrating in the other thread.” 5:48:10 AM 10/20/09 “but....but......but.....Liberals support Free Speech. LMAO” 10:15:43 AM 10/20/09 Is the PrezBO getting a pass? “Imagine if GW had done it. http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20091027/pl_politico/28764 A four-hour stop in New Orleans, on his way to a $3 million fundraiser. Snubbing the Dalai Lama. Signing off on a secret deal with drug makers. Freezing out a TV network. Doing more fundraisers than the last president. More golf, too. President Barack Obama has done all of those things — and more. What’s remarkable is what hasn’t happened. These episodes haven’t become metaphors for Obama’s personal and political character — or consuming controversies that sidetracked the rest of his agenda. It’s a sign that the media’s echo chamber can be a funny thing, prone to the vagaries of news judgment, and an illustration that, in politics, context is everything. The MSM would have hung him out to dry. This guy... they just give him a pass.” 7:14:15 PM 10/28/09 “ ”7:20:28 PM 10/28/09 “Imagine a president ignoring warnings that resulted in the destruction of the World Trade Center and thousands of American lives. Imagine giving that person a "pass" just because you thought he'd give you a tax cut.” 8:22:42 PM 10/28/09 “oh PLEASE Tilty give us examples..... You mean like the evidence that the terrorists were training to fly jumbos but not land them? Yeah would have been nice, but OOPS the Gorelick Memo blocked that (check out the Investigation you ignorant failed salon owner).” 5:55:34 AM 10/29/09 “Should Bush have then stopped all Muslims from flying on planes? Should he have grounded all planes? I think anything he would have done would have resulted in boos from the left. There will be more than 1 murder per day in Chicago this year. Most will be done by blacks. This is a fact. What should we do about it Tilt? http://bobmccarty.com/2009/01/03/number-of-chicago-murders-in-2008-tops-number-of-us-soldier-deaths-but-medias-not-reporting-it/” 6:03:17 AM 10/29/09 “Oh-nay asking ilt-Tay estions-quay.” 6:05:58 AM 10/29/09 “I'm sure he will find this opportunity to present solutions, instead of criticisms, a welcome one. No pressure. Just thought it was a good opportunity to hear what we should be doing differently as a nation.” 6:09:02 AM 10/29/09 “Oh heck HPD in Tilty's little drug world of Harrisburg we will see more lives "destroyed" in a year than in 9/11.” 6:09:36 AM 10/29/09 “ ![]() ”7:38:18 PM 10/29/09 “So what's your point? Bin Laden's a bad guy?” 7:58:58 PM 10/29/09 “All those people killed ---- and Duhbya still gets a pass. They blame the CIA for their fvcked up invasion.... the give the Director the Presidential Medal of Freedom for taking the fall? I don't think you people could be more stupid and corrupt. Oh Wait..... How many copies of Palin's book are they buying to give as Christmas presents?” 8:06:04 PM 10/29/09 “LOL http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704586504574654362679868966.html?mod=WSJ_Opinion_AboveLEFTTop Mr. Gruber is a health economist and former Clinton Treasury hand, as well an architect of Mitt Romney's 2006 health plan in Massachusetts that so closely resembles ObamaCare. His econometric health-care modelling is well-regarded. So his $297,600 plum from the Department of Health and Human Services in March for "technical assistance" estimating changes in insurance costs and coverage under ObamaCare, plus another $95,000 job, is at least defensible. However, this financial relationship only came to wide notice when Mr. Gruber wrote a commentary for the New England Journal of Medicine, which has a more stringent disclosure policy than most media outlets. Last week the New York Times said it would have disclosed Mr. Gruber's financial ties had it known when it published one of his op-eds last year. Mr. Gruber told Politico's Ben Smith that "at no time have I publicly advocated a position that I did not firmly believe—indeed, I have been completely consistent with my academic track record." We don't doubt Mr. Gruber's sincerity about his research, though the same benefit of the political doubt wasn't extended to, say, Armstrong Williams when it was revealed that the conservative pundit had a contract with the Department of Education during the No Child Left Behind debate. Any number of former Generals-turned-TV-analysts were skewered in the New York Times in 2008 merely because of continuing contact—and no financial ties—with the Pentagon. The political exploitation of Mr. Gruber's commentary is another matter. His work figured heavily into a recent piece by Ron Brownstein in the Atlantic Monthly that the Administration promoted as an antidote to skepticism about ObamaCare's cost control (or lack thereof). White House budget director Peter Orszag has also relied on a letter from Mr. Gruber and other economists endorsing the Senate bill.” 8:11:32 AM 1/15/10 “Hans Gruber? Income from continuing operations was 48 cents a share, compared with 19 cents a share a year ago. You had to love the endearing send off he got from CBS and the praise he received from all those great journalists. It brought a tear to the eye to know that all those journalists consider Dan Rather a man of integrity who would never let personal feelings affect his work. It's really too bad he made that one honest mistake. “On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. As if on cue, Dallas was christened “the city of hate.” A young TV reporter named Dan Rather heard a rumor that some Dallas schoolchildren had cheered when they heard the news of Kennedy’s death. The rumor wasn’t true, and the local Dallas CBS affiliate refused to run the story. Rather made an end run around the network and reported the story anyway.” Liberal Fascism. Jonah Goldberg; NY 2008. MARCH 8--In chronicling the National Enquirer's latest bid for respectability, The New York Times today glowingly details the tabloid's sleuthing on the John Edwards trail (and the publication's related Pulitzer Prize bid). The newspaper also credits the Enquirer with a degree of ethical probity for which it is woefully unworthy. In describing shoe leather efforts to confirm a tip that Rielle Hunter, Edwards's mistress, was pregnant, reporter Stephanie Clifford amusingly notes that "Enquirer reporters cannot pay off medical officials--they might be violating health care privacy laws." We helpfully point Clifford to United States of America vs. Lawanda Jackson” 5:26:47 AM 3/09/10 “XL, Rothbard has got me thinking about all sorts of possibilities. I'm not ready for the little tinfoil hat yet, but he proposes some extremely interesting ideas. Can you imagine a day when the NYT can't make it financially and so it is "subsidized" by government funds (as is PBS) with the excuse that it is "an American institution"? (That's one of my thoughts, not Rothbard's) The NYT is one of the best proponents for big government. It could be useful to keep it going with tax dollars.” 9:40:38 AM 3/09/10 “Arc I believe it will most likely happen with this clown prince. There is no doubt that the socialists have a desire to take "control" of the communications industry. Its why they HATE Talk Radio and Fox. Matt Drudge is the founder of the popular online news site The Drudge Report, which has been charged by the Senate with spreading computer viruses. (AP) In the very body sworn to protect and defend the Constitution, an e-mail is circulating warning U.S. Senate staffers not to view one of the most popular news sites on the Web, claiming it could spread computer viruses. The Senate Sergeant-at-Arms, the chamber's official gatekeeper, said the Drudge Report, a news aggregator, and whitepages.com, a telephone directory site, "are responsible for the many viruses popping up throughout the Senate," according to an e-mail from the Environment and Public Works Committee obtained by FoxNews.com. Another e-mail from a separate office warned that staffers who had visited the Drudge Report or White Pages had experienced viruses on their PCs. "Please avoid using these sites until the Senate resolves this issue," the e-mail read. "The Senate has been swamped the last couples (sic) days with this issue." But the Drudge Report suggested that politics might be behind the warning, noting in an original story that the e-mail came as the "health care drama in the Capitol reaches a grand finale." The Drudge Report noted that it served more than 29 million pages Monday without an e-mail complaint about "'pop ups,' or the site serving 'viruses.'" "The site was seen 149,967 times since March 1st from users at senate.gov and 244,347 times at house.gov. [10,825 visits from the White House, eop.gov]" the Drudge Report wrote. "The Systems Administrator may want to continue taking her antibiotic until the prescription runs out." A spokesman for the Environment and Public Works Committee said the Senate Help Desk cited the Drudge Report and whitepages.com only as possible examples of Web sites generating pop-up ads that might be causing a recent increase in the number of virus infections. "Our non-partisan systems administrator notified both Majority and Minority staff that this issue had been brought to her attention," the spokesman said in a written statement. "It is still not exactly clear where the increase in viruses is coming from, and staff have been advised to be cautious with outside Web sites at all times." A GOP aide to the Environment and Public Works Committee told FoxNews.com that there has been "a flurry of activity in the last couple of days" and that a couple of people on the staff had had "computer problems."” 1:56:42 PM 3/09/10 “Updated March 08, 2010 Sean Penn Wants Reporters Jailed for Calling Chavez 'Dictator' FOXNews.com If Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn had his way, any journalist who called Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez a dictator would quickly find himself behind bars. First Amendment be damned . . . If Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn had his way, any journalist who called Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez a dictator would quickly find himself behind bars. Penn, appearing on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" on Friday, defended Chavez during a segment in which he detailed his work with the JP Haitian Relief Organization, which he co-founded. "Every day, this elected leader is called a dictator here, and we just accept it, and accept it" said Penn, winner of two Best Actor Academy Awards. "And this is mainstream media, who should -- truly, there should be a bar by which one goes to prison for these kinds of lies." It was just the beginning of a busy weekend for Penn. When asked on CBS' "Sunday Morning" about those who question his motives for his humanitarian work in Haiti, he said: "Do I hope that those people die screaming of rectal cancer? Yeah. You know, but I'm not going to spend a lot of energy on it." Judge Andrew Napolitano, Fox News' senior judicial analyst, said the same constitutional protection that applies to journalists also applies to Penn, who can say pretty much anything he wants in the "political arena" -- aside from an immediate incitement of violence. "What he is saying is protected, as wacky and weird as it is," Napolitano told FoxNews.com. "But the substance of what he's saying would be absolutely contrary to the First Amendment, which fully protects all political opinions. So if a journalist says Dick Cheney should go to jail, the journalist is privileged to say that." "Mr. Penn is calling for a communist-like regime in which journalists who criticize the government are sent to jail because of that criticism," Napolitano added. "That is utterly un-American and hasn't happened here since the Civil War." Lis Wiehl, a former federal prosecutor and Fox News legal analyst, echoed Napolitano’s comments, saying Penn’s statement is "completely counter" to First Amendment protections. "Unless you're yelling 'fire' in a crowded theatre, i.e. stirring up immediate violence, you have the right as an American to voice your opinion, even if others (including Penn) disagree," she wrote FoxNews.com. "And, yes, Penn has the right to voice his opinion as well -- that's the beauty of the First Amendment. And, don't forget, truth is an absolute defense to any defamation or slander lawsuit." According to a study by the Business and Media Institute, news coverage pertaining to Chavez from 1998 to 2006 found the Venezuelan president's human rights record was mentioned in only 10 percent of stories, and he was described as a leftist in 12 percent of stories. Napolitano, meanwhile, said Penn apparently prefers "thuggery" to democracy. "In light of his ignorance of freedom of speech, his wishing rectal cancer on his detractors, and his embracing tyrants, Mr. Penn obviously prefers thuggery to democracy," he continued. "Were he free to do so, he'd be a tyrant. Now we'll see if he can get me jailed for saying that!"” 1:59:43 PM 3/09/10 “Due to low sales, Walmart discounts Black Barbie; obviously some people have a problem with this http://abcnews.go.com/Business/black-barbie-sold-white-barbie-walmart-store/story?id=10045008” 3:59:14 PM 3/09/10 “Some "experts," Stove.
