thanks a lot for the tip. I am starting my research. Any highlights you can recommend for Rahwah?

Rahwah
Use the Trail head near Tunnel Campground. Head up the West branch and do a side trip to Carey Lake. (GREAT spot!) Then back down to the North Fork, and up to Twin Crater Lakes. If you have the time take the North Branch to Camp Lake and back to the trail head. (Part of the Camp Lake can be boring, but, you're heading out, and the sights before are unbelievable!

Note: Altitude gain is 1,000 feet in about 1/4 mile on some stretches. You start at 9,000ft and walk to over 13,000, as I recall. (Pant, pant). If you're a flat-lander like me, give yourself time to adjust!

Weminuche
Check out the Weminuche Wilderness in the San Juan Mtns, SW Colorado.
Simply the best.

Chicago Basin
My only time backpacking in Colorado was a trip where a buddy and I took the Durango-Silverton steam train to the trailhead (only accessible by foot or train), then hiked into the Chicago Basin area (Weminuche Wilderness, right?). The hiking was remarkably easy and the scenery amazing. You could easily figure out a loop or out-and-back trip to meet your desires. (Our trip got cut short - long story. . . .) Oh, and the travel guides referred to it as a "heavily used" trail and area. Guess the writers weren't from California - hardly any other people at all.
