Just kidding Coop, you have a beautiful wife and child. You going to do Myakka this Fall? The trails don't look like they are going to be flooded if we don't start getting more rain.” 7:48:28 AM 5/20/02 Oooooooooooooooooooh, “she's beautiful!!! Has she spit up on you yet? You know, and any other of the vital bodily functions? I don't think you get the parent merit badge until that happens.” 7:55:58 AM 5/20/02 “Oh geez...I'm in trouble reeeeal soon. Beautiful, just beautiful.” 9:12:36 AM 5/20/02 “Skully - I've encountered an assortment of gobs and goos so far, but nothing to write home about just yet. I hear the best is yet to come - when she starts on solid foods. We just went on our longest hike together. Twice around the block. She cried for the better part of the hike. Her Gear List: Blanket (rated 60F) Diaper (great wicking!) Stroller” 8:55:04 PM 5/20/02 “Sounds like you are into it!! Glad you got some pics posted. I am off to a conference at Purdue and won't get your photos on the photo page before I leave. Then hiking all weekend. Enjoy it!” 6:05:28 PM 5/21/02 “Nice family--that is what you become when you have a schooner. I am so pleased for both of you. Mary:)” 6:18:11 PM 5/21/02 “TOTALLY ADORABLE!! Priceless pics. Congrats to the both of you.” 7:09:19 PM 5/21/02 Happy Birthday Little Coop “I've got a one year old!” 7:45:32 AM 5/05/03 “Yea!” 7:46:18 AM 5/05/03 “Woohoo! Happy first anniversary of your birth Baby Coop!” 7:49:05 AM 5/05/03 “T-minus 365 days 'til the Turrible Two's... <grin>” 7:56:11 AM 5/05/03 “Yea! It's amazing how fast that year went isn't it?! And the two's aren't so very terrible...don't listen to Tilt, there's nothing to fear.” 8:02:26 AM 5/05/03 “I think the rating for the "Twos" actually applies more accurately to the parents in most cases. Disclaimer: This opinion has been based on personal observation only. The contributer makes no claims to any parenting expertice or qualifications other than personal experience and expects to be completely disregarded by those who resemble that remark. Most especially by her no-good sister and brother-in-law who are raising the quintessential children from HELL. (I may be a tad biased, in other words, lol).” 8:07:52 AM 5/05/03 “Happy B Day little Coop.” 8:11:24 AM 5/05/03 “12 more yrs to the teenage yrs, enjoy it while you can” 8:13:16 AM 5/05/03 “Good point Skullcap. NOT that I'm the uber-parent or anything...I think I just got lucky or something. =)” 8:13:45 AM 5/05/03 “Ya gonna let Little Coop smush cake all over her face?” 8:18:49 AM 5/05/03 “LOL @ Skullcap!” 9:19:01 AM 5/05/03 “Thanks everyone! Yea smiley - it took a second for the sensation of a handful of sugar to sink in, but once it did - she went to town. Everyone is telling me to enjoy her now. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but she learned a new word yesterday - "uh-oh". It's cute now...” 12:51:35 PM 5/05/03 “The twos are fine, it is the fours that really will get you. That is the twos plus a bigger vocabulary slathered with a high whine.” 4:49:03 PM 5/05/03 “Once they're seriously mobile --- look out! (at least that's what people tell me, LOL)” 5:19:12 PM 5/05/03 “Super! We really enjoyed our four children when they were little, even with the battle of wills from time-to-time. When they become teen-agers, you trade "watching time" for "worry time" (worrying about them when they are not at home). IMHO, watching is more fun than worry...and the more time you spend with your kids doing things together when they are growing up, the less trouble you have later on.” 5:45:35 PM 5/05/03 “Yeah, what Phil said. My son got a bit testy a couple of times when he was 3. He has been and always will be the greatest joy in my life. I have made a point of spending every moment I can with him and it's still not enough. Now that he's a teenager and he has started pushing away to establish his own independence it's difficult to strike a balance. It's like the "I can do it myself" of a two year old plus car keys. Like Phil said...lots of worry. Enjoy every minute Coop.” 6:42:01 AM 5/06/03 “Give Little Coop another hug from me :) My husband says having children was the best thing we ever did--and it is the best thing they ever did too :) We had a birthday too--I took cupcakes to school for my 5 year old grandson--what a peachy baby he is :)” 6:54:57 AM 5/06/03 “Happy Birthday little Coop!” 8:46:29 AM 5/06/03 Little Coop Too (two)! “Well we wanted to give our first a few years to grow into herself and our family - oh well. Change of plans. This weekend marks the transition from first to second trimester. We're having baby number two sometime in late February. She Coop is wiped out with morning (all day) sickness right now, but hopefully she'll be done with that soon. We have been blessed with a sweetheart in Delaney and I am looking forward to hanging out with the new one when he/she comes along. We're debating whether to find out the sex or not. We're also debating whether we need a new house or not. It is interesting to see that the excitement and "newness" of childbirth is diminished (instead of exclaiming with joy like the first one, people tend to say "hey that's great" and give us a hug.) with number two, but that warmth of expectation of another little human around the house is still strong.” 6:40:50 AM 8/30/03 A NEW BLESSING!!!! “BC, as I was reading I was thinking "Wow, That's great!" then I read the last sentence (didn't change my feeling, though) I still think it is totally cool. My prayers are with you for a happy healthy baby. Hope She Coop feels better soon. Congratulations.” 7:36:44 AM 8/30/03 “A big congrats, big coop. That's big news!” 7:38:19 AM 8/30/03 “Congratulations Big Coop!! My number one little girl will be here in a couple of months. We're so excited about our first child. Stay strong through the hard parts and make sure your wife knows you're there for her.” 7:39:45 AM 8/30/03 “Start the college savings plan NOW! They'll be heading off before you can blink you eye. Been there, doing that!” 9:45:04 AM 8/30/03 “Congratulations!” 9:45:26 AM 8/30/03 “Thanks all! and congrats to you Indiana John - it's great fun.” 12:22:46 PM 8/30/03 “Big time congrats dude!!!! 8)” 12:31:09 PM 8/30/03 “Good luck to yall.” 3:02:54 PM 8/30/03 Little Coop #2 “It's a girl! Evelyn Grace was born at 2:40pm yesterday. Mom and baby are doing fine. She was 7lbs and 20.5 inches long. Watch out for those Cooper girls.” 11:09:30 AM 2/24/04 “Congratulations!!!!!” 11:10:24 AM 2/24/04 “Congratulations!!! WOOHOOOOO!!!” 11:10:40 AM 2/24/04 “Congrats Daddy Coop!” 11:12:02 AM 2/24/04 “congrats! :)” 11:12:43 AM 2/24/04 “Way ta go Dad!” 11:17:41 AM 2/24/04 “Congratulations! It's the start of the Cooper all-girl militia!” 11:21:20 AM 2/24/04 “(I'd say more like 'Way ta go Mom!' but she isn't here, <grin>)” 11:24:05 AM 2/24/04 “That makes two? Double trouble!” 11:26:59 AM 2/24/04 11:38:47 AM 2/24/04 Congratulations Cooper Family! “Thats awesome!
