Yea smiley - it took a second for the sensation of a handful of sugar to sink in, but once it did - she went to town.

Everyone is telling me to enjoy her now. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but she learned a new word yesterday - "uh-oh".

“Super! We really enjoyed our four children when they were little, even with the battle of wills from time-to-time.

When they become teen-agers, you trade "watching time" for "worry time" (worrying about them when they are not at home).

IMHO, watching is more fun than worry...and the more time you spend with your kids doing things together when they are growing up, the less trouble you have later on.”

My son got a bit testy a couple of times when he was 3. He has been and always will be the greatest joy in my life. I have made a point of spending every moment I can with him and it's still not enough. Now that he's a teenager and he has started pushing away to establish his own independence it's difficult to strike a balance. It's like the "I can do it myself" of a two year old plus car keys. Like Phil said...lots of worry.

My husband says having children was the best thing we ever did--and it is the best thing they ever did too :)

“Well we wanted to give our first a few years to grow into herself and our family - oh well. Change of plans.

This weekend marks the transition from first to second trimester. We're having baby number two sometime in late February. She Coop is wiped out with morning (all day) sickness right now, but hopefully she'll be done with that soon.

We have been blessed with a sweetheart in Delaney and I am looking forward to hanging out with the new one when he/she comes along. We're debating whether to find out the sex or not. We're also debating whether we need a new house or not.

It is interesting to see that the excitement and "newness" of childbirth is diminished (instead of exclaiming with joy like the first one, people tend to say "hey that's great" and give us a hug.) with number two, but that warmth of expectation of another little human around the house is still strong.”

Evelyn Grace was born at 2:40pm yesterday. Mom and baby are doing fine. She was 7lbs and 20.5 inches long.

Watch out for those Cooper girls.”
