Your favorite trail mixView Messages“Id love any recipes of your favorite trail mix..I have a chance to make a bit of money from some homemade goodies and thought trail mix would be a good idea.. Either post them here or email it to me evergreen_34@yahoo.com thanks” 10:10:08 PM 5/09/02 “1 pair boots 1 trail Mix” 10:36:45 PM 5/09/02 Please Don't Fiddle With The Oreo Middle “My trail mix always differs depending on whats on my shelf... corn chips, wheat thins, chocolate morsels, honey/mustard pretzels, chocolate covered expresso beans, and Oreo cookies. Regardless, it always contains Oreo cookies...gotta have the Oreos!!!” 11:12:09 PM 5/09/02 “quit carrying it myself... didnt eat enough of it. I take the snack bars instead.” 4:28:52 AM 5/10/02 “I tried those honey mustard pretzels once. Perhaps they are an aquired taste?” 4:59:54 AM 5/10/02 “Yes, Skully, I believe they are. I do what Buddur, does. Whatever is on the shelf goes. Mini-cheez-its, mini-M&M's, sunflower seeds, peanuts, pretzels, raisins.” 6:42:35 AM 5/10/02 “My favorite Mix, A blond, brunette, and two red heads.” 6:43:18 AM 5/10/02 “I take dried fruit and snack bars.” 6:56:13 AM 5/10/02 “cheez-its or goldfish, m&ms, raisins or other dried fruit, nuts for my regular. spicy cheez-its, jalepeno pretzel bits, hot & spicy planters peanuts and sometimes wasabi peas for my zesty.” 7:53:57 AM 5/10/02 Evergreen “I been send ing u emails about the lost cove trip. U changed email accts! Ok OK Trailmix- Snickers!” 8:02:01 AM 5/10/02 “ok, ok Chopped dried mangoes Honey roasted peanuts Salted roasted sunflower nuts hot red chile powder No, I'm not kidding, and yes it is very good.” 8:16:55 AM 5/10/02 “mmm, that sounds goooood! my faves are the boring old peanuts, m&ms, and raising. either that or dried fruit, soybeans and carob chips...mmm. just not any dried pineapple (because of a carsick story you don't want to hear). i for one loooove honey mustard pretzles...and the best pretzles EVER (which of course they stopped making) were those butter-flavor Rold Gold. yum-o-rama!” 9:08:40 AM 5/10/02 “Anything the D@mn mice haven't gotten in.” 9:26:48 AM 5/10/02 “Gardettos original recipe snack mix is one of my favorites. If I feel creative and/or energetic I'll mix my own trail mix of peanuts, M&M's, raisins and toffee chips. Or just plain old mini Butterfingers.” 9:41:49 AM 5/10/02 “I like to mixed up nuts, sunflower seeds (shelled),dried fruit and coffee beans. Nothing like biting into that coffee bean for a shot of caffeine” 9:55:49 AM 5/10/02 “peanuts, dried cranberries, m&ms or chocolate chips. very addictive.” 9:58:08 AM 5/10/02 “Wild Turkey & Sleepy-time tea” 3:53:30 PM 5/10/02 “I've found I just prefer a premixed variety. As of late, Costco has been revealing a nice fruit & nut mix as well as an asian cracker/nut mix of their own vintage.” 3:56:13 PM 5/10/02 “Which costco do you go to, Rosey?” 3:57:19 PM 5/10/02 “I usually start with honey granola as a base (shut-up gordon) then add whatever looks good from the bins at the grocery... some variety of tropical mix with unsweetened coconut, mango, papaya, etc., then other dried fruit: cranberries, golden raisens, a few banana chips... a few huge cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and pine nuts. THEN the CHOCOLATE, if it's not to warm outside: M&M's (plain And peanut) and those chocolate covered almonds if I can find 'em. Coffee beans, hmmmm?” 4:38:06 PM 5/10/02 “Preferably 100% male!” 4:39:07 PM 5/10/02 “You almost had that on the Sipsey trip, tango. If Miss Opie hadn't come along, you'd have gotten your wish!” 4:41:40 PM 5/10/02 “Been adding sour gummy bears to mine. Yum! Got some stuff where I'm at called "Global Village Nut Mix" Some exotic stuff in it. Trader Joes has it if you have one in your town.” 4:50:14 PM 5/10/02 “Bitpusher quit starting stuff. Amended trail mix: 100% unattached male!!” 4:52:28 PM 5/10/02 “Chex snack mix. Cheddar flavor.” 4:54:38 PM 5/10/02 “Some crazy nutz! 8p” 5:06:48 PM 5/10/02 “Gardettos are the best! I keep the dried fruit separate from the Gardettos, because I don't like the salt and smoky flavor on the fruit. For fruit, I like to mix dried cranberries, strawberries, apples and banana chips. Then I add some to oatmeal at breakfast, also. I made the apple chips, banana chips and strawberry slices myself in the dehydrator and they were awesome! (thanks to tips from Om, Bpbaby and RichB). I think that I must be the only female who doesn't like chocolate in my trail mix.” 5:11:46 PM 5/10/02 “Phaed: Cal Expo locale.” 5:33:44 PM 5/10/02 “Almond M&Ms Dried cherries Walnuts Spicy Cornuts YUM! You can't mix it ahead of time, though. The Cornuts get funky when they are in the same bag as the dried fruit for several days.” 6:24:49 PM 5/10/02 “OK tango. Amendment noted. Just my luck, too....” 10:23:27 AM 5/11/02 “Trader Joe's Tropical Trail mix (dried tropical fruits and raisins with some sunflower seeds, almonds, and cashews mixed in). NO COCONUT FOR ME PLEASE. Nature Valley Granola Bars - several varieties to choose from...all good. Cheese cracker mixes (several have been mentioned already).” 11:25:42 AM 5/11/02 “i like it simple nuts and m&m's, plus anything else around... it's not trail mix without nuts and m&m's though.” 1:35:45 PM 5/11/02 “M&M's-- too much lead--I can feel it in my pack.” 3:21:43 PM 5/11/02 “Rosey, that's around the corner from my house, practically. I'll have to look for the mix you're talking about. And sometime, we're gonna have to have a beer over at Sudwerk.” 3:42:08 PM 5/11/02 “Bit-- After your vomit story on the other thread I don't know... It was such a turn” 9:06:29 PM 5/11/02 “Oh, I didn't finish that last post. I forgot what I was going to say. Wow Imagine that!! LOL” 9:07:58 PM 5/11/02 “Peanuts, almonds, raisins, m&m's and whatever else is cheap and available.” 9:17:57 PM 5/11/02 THANKS “You gave me some great ideas..If I become rich off of this Ill hare the wealth jearbear..the email addy is evergreen_34@yahoo.com” 9:27:37 PM 5/11/02 “Hey look whos posting!!! The singles are the ones going "Ewwww!" and the parents are the ones just nodding their heads.” 10:44:36 PM 5/11/02 “HeeHeeHee Let me tell you one time I was on this call and a huge (obese) man got stabbed and he had a partial eviceration (his guts& fat were coming out the stab wound) well anyway. Since I was first on scene... well you get the picture And of course you remember the story of Lizator, in the ER. What's a little puke, after that!?” 1:03:32 AM 5/12/02 Crazy MIke “Who you calling "sexy?" Me? :-)” 10:47:16 AM 5/12/02 “i just eat plain m&m w/ peanuts in them, and dried bananas soaked in cinnamin and sugar before dehydration.” 10:50:48 AM 5/12/02 “The trail mix I came up with is a success..cant keep enough in stock on the shelf.. Heres what I came up with..My daughters came up with the names of the mixes..what imaginations. Screamin Willie : x-tra cheddar goldfish crackers Wasabi peas Diablo stix Honey roasted peanuts Cinn-full : Cinnamon rainsins Crispy M&M's Honey roasted peanuts Rise and Shine: Granola Various dried fruits Raisins Chocolate chips I sell this for $3.00 a 4 oz bag..can you believe that..Tourists are good for something after all.lol” 7:09:52 AM 6/19/02 “MMmmmm...
