Need a Trip Destination

“Ok..maybe walkindude can help me out....I'm looking at doing a solo trip memorial day. Somewhere not crowded, would like old growth hardwood, great views, and possibly some fast moving water
Since Stone door is closed on mondays that kills that area. Any suggestions? Loop trails would be best.

“How about Pine Mountain Trail in E central GA. But it might be crowded. 23 miles with 6 loop possibilities. Quiet woods, sparkling streams, misty waterfalls and varied forest. Is what it says in the description. I've wanted to go for awhile, sounds interesting.”

“how about the Haoe Lead and Deep Creek trails - I think it fairly likely that the upper end of the Deep Creek Tr. will be very quiet - yeah that's the ticket - come in Haoe Lead Tr. from Maple Springs and take Deep Creek Tr. at the fork go up Deep Creek and camp near the Hangover overlook then hike back out on Haoe Lead after a short connection with the Hangover Tr.

I'll send you some info and a map for a place near Chattanooga. It's the Cumberland Trail section from Signal Point to Prentice Cooper State Forest. The Prentice Cooper part is pretty good too.”
