Mountain Hardwear Superlight Sleeping Pad
Any body have one of these sleeping pads. I am using a Ridge Rest for now. I think I need something with a little more padding. I really don't want the inflating kind. Don't want to have to worry about it leaking. Is that a legitimate concern?

This seems expensive for a foam pad.

i use the mountain hardwear backcountry 72 for winter packing and really like it. it is more comfortable than a ridge rest, not as comfortable as a thermarest (in my opinion). i don't have any specific information on the superlight. the pocket in the cover to stuff for pillow use is great. i usually stuff my vest or fleece in there and no worry about it sliding away at night. it is bulkier and heavier than any of my thermarests. i use it for winter because it insulates very well and adds more comfort than just a plain closed cell pad (ridge rest)without carrying two pads. i also like not having to worry about a hole.

if this will be your only pad, it is a good one to have but is expensive.

Thanks Baume
I think I will give this one a try. I hate the idea of adding more pack weight but I need a little more padding. I would only be adding 13 ounces for a better night sleep.

More weight for bettter sleep is a trade worth making in my opinion.

I agree with HPM. A hard day on the trail is bad enough, a restless night on the ground only compounds matters.
