There is a minor contest (free movie tickets) that involves identifying this inscription which is at a "pristine mountain lake" in Mammoth CA. Tell me who carved it and where it is and I will give you the contest details. The movie might suck, but its fun to try anyway.

The inscription is:

"We lived so fully
We loved so deeply
We lost so foolishly
5/25/66"

I bet Mel knows
I would guess ...
Ansel Adams/Purple Lake

although there are an awful lot of lakes around there.

Guess I was way off....
Looks like Pantscandy is right!
I found this...
"Our story begins when Kat Walker, an exotically beautiful young poet and adventure junkie, quits her job as a cocktail waitress in an upscale ski town and takes a housekeeping position at rustic Tamarack Lodge"

So y'all found the movie website. That's where the contest is. But isn't "Kat Walker" a fictional character in the story inspired by the real inscription?
