Mammoth CA lake side inscriptionView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 5 of 5 messages posted.
“There is a minor contest (free movie tickets) that involves identifying this inscription which is at a "pristine mountain lake" in Mammoth CA. Tell me who carved it and where it is and I will give you the contest details. The movie might suck, but its fun to try anyway. The inscription is: "We lived so fully We loved so deeply We lost so foolishly 5/25/66"” 10:29:46 PM 5/20/02 “Kat Walker @ Tamarack Lakes” 10:50:07 PM 5/20/02 I bet Mel knows “I would guess ... Ansel Adams/Purple Lake although there are an awful lot of lakes around there.” 10:53:56 PM 5/20/02 Guess I was way off.... “Looks like Pantscandy is right! I found this... "Our story begins when Kat Walker, an exotically beautiful young poet and adventure junkie, quits her job as a cocktail waitress in an upscale ski town and takes a housekeeping position at rustic Tamarack Lodge"” 11:00:11 PM 5/20/02 “So y'all found the movie website. That's where the contest is. But isn't "Kat Walker" a fictional character in the story inspired by the real inscription?” 8:38:30 AM 5/21/02
