Anyone have any hiking experiences in Wrangell NP? My two weeks in Alaska will be spent in Wrangell the first week and Denali the second..

I spent the summer of 2000 in Kennicott. Awsome place. I can give ya some info on getting to Jumbo and Erie Mines if you are interested. Jumbo I think is more interesting, it is leaning at an angle, but still stable. I walked in it, the floors are tilted so much it is like a fun house.
Erie mine is not as cool, but it is harder to get to. There are a ton of hikes there, most off trail. It is real difficult to get lost there, though due to the narrow valley, with a glacier in the middle.
Also, check out http://www.wrangellmountainair.com/ for some information on fly in trips. I did a trip with them and it was great. They said they take maybe 5 people/yr to the place I went. Anyway, you can email me at morrispj6022@hotmail.com
Have a great trip!
