A Little Side Trip before Work

“Gee this morning while driving to work I had about a hour so I saw the clouds coming over the mountain and said to myself "Gee I will drive up on the Pinnacle and take a look."
Leaving my home the day was very cool but sunny. While approaching the tunnel I saw the thick fog and clouds rolling over the mountain.
After going through the tunnel Middlesboro was socked in so up the mountain I went. After many curves out into the sun I came.
I parked and walked the 200 yards to the overlook. What a site the town of Middlesboro which looks like a bowl in the ground from overhead was covered in thick white clouds much like cotton balls.
They were rolling gently over the mountain and in the gap (Cumberland Gap) they were being pulled though the gap which was a wonderful site. I have seen many pictures of this site but never saw it myself. It was wonderful.
It was nice being there with no other people just me and the birds and little chipmucks I saw.
The trail was calling me to come along and have some fun but back to reality, work....
As I drove down the mountain a very large male turkey was in the road all tail feathers in a beautiful spray. Gee what a morning!
Well just wanted to share the wonderful morning I had. It made my work day a great one.
