Sipsey Wilderness- Memorial Weekend

“Anybody gonna be at The Sipsey Wilderness during the Memorial Weekend?”

“its got possibilities - what sort of hike are you looking at?”

“HOI,
I didn’t have anything planned. There is a chance that I can head up to Sipsey this weekend and if anybody else was going to be there I was going to try catch up with them. I won’t know until late Friday night if I can make it though.”

“Rabbittman..if you go solo..and just to relax you should hit that campsite at the top of the waterfall in west bee branch me and dayhiker were talkin bout

on the east side of the ridge between white oak and west bee”

“Yep, that's a great one. I now know how to get to it with only 100 yards of off trail hiking. It is maybe 45 minutes from the Thompson Creek trailhead. I'll be out of the office on Friday. If you want to find out about the site, email me today and I'll send it to you.”

“well it looks like I won't be able to make it to Sipsey for Memorial Day Weekend - oh well”

“I'll be there with Bama Jr. I have planned on going to Turkey foot falls for camp. As it stands now I wont be there until late Sunday. I'll keep a radio on channel one if anyone wants to link up. There is a waterfall at the end of turkey foot that has a great campsite. BAMA jr. has been wanting to stay there for quite some time. We will probally leave out monday morning heading up turkey creek and cut over to the old Cullman motorway before crossing over Sipsey. But my plans are flexible.

I'll probably be leaving for home Sunday afternoon. My son and I are planning to go up tonite and spend Saturday hiking and fishing. We'll probably do some more fishing Sunday morning. I haven't decided where we will be yet. We'll just wing it when we get there.”
