Verio is a dedicated access company, so it could be his ISP, if he has dedicated access from home.
Another possibility is that the company he works for leases a dedicated line from Verio, although this is less likely, IMO, because the line IP would more likely be registered to the company paying for it.
Last, and IMO, most likely, he works for Verio. They have offices everywhere, though, and it could be that he works in one of them, and enters the internet through a portal from the company's private network. The server for this would be the IP we pick up.
