I see it requires an electronic coupon. Does that 20% off work in person or just online?

Hey walkindude
The way I see it, you have an easy escape...

So, you're doing lawn wrok, right? Aren't you having trouble w the lawnmower? Don't you have to run out & get a new sparkplug? Not a big deal, but takes a long time to find one, doesn't it?

Also... didn't you just run out of gas? Don't you have to run out to get more?

Isn't REI along the way? And... aren't you doing her a favor by trying to save some $$ on gear that you're ONLY buying because it will keep you safer?

I noticed that REI has quite a few packs on sale and since I don't have one (last major piece of equipment) I am headed there Sat to check out what they have.
Quick question to go you guys should I bring all of my stuff with me to put in the pack or just uses the weights they put in it.

I've been struggling with the value of a really good sleeping bag for a while now. The old one I have, I got at a garage sale three years ago, and the insulation has pretty well gone flat. It was probably only a 30 degree bag, in it's prime anyway.

So, I stopped by REI with my coupon tonight to look around a bit - maybe for that really light extra bit of clothing to keep me warm at night in my flattened bag - and what did I come across, but a whole bin full of Cat's Meows...

under $150.00 after tax.

This is now the most expensive single piece of gear I own.

I'll get tot test it out this coming week.

I went in last week to pick up a .9L titanium pot. They had the coupons right at the register if you didn't bring yours in.

There's plenty gear in the store, just have them pile it in!

(Besides they probably don't want you to put your "used" gear in their new pack.)

I used my coupon last week on a REI Solo Lite sleeping bag for MT. They had a "short" and its a 1/2 lb lighter than my other one and it would save space in my pack, so I figured that was a good enough reason to get it.....

REI members, if you didn't get an email about it yet, they are having a 20% off sale for members, good on non-sale items only, through Monday I think.

Find out how to get it here.

I used my "coupon" to get an early birthday present for my daughter, a CamelBak Trailblazer hydration day pack. The 20% off was mostly eaten up by sales tax and shipping, though. But it will go straight to her door. And it would have cost me more than the shipping charge to drive all the way to Madison and back (7 hours total) hoping that that item was in stock in the right color.

You can use the "coupon" in person or on line. Just have to be a member. Type ANNV in the coupon box on the on-line form. Calculates automatically.
