Brewski & mudbugs
All are invited to join me at the 2nd largest crawdad festival, outside of Louisianna, in Isleton, CA. I've been going for years and having a blast. I'll work out further details if others would like to get together on the Saturday (June 15) of the festival. You northern Californians have no excuse for not coming.

Hey I went to this last year! It was hot. It was beyond hot, it was like hell-hot. There isn't really a lot of meat on those little crawdads, either. Other than that, I got drunk and had a great time! I'm ready to do it again!

New Beer Drinking Regs
I have been going to this festival for years. It is my Father's Day treat/activity every year.
Love the music of the Crawdaddy Band from WAY down south......Santa Cruz.
A couple years ago the city of Isleton imposed new beer drinking regulations and beer drinkers are now required to gather inside special fenced areas. The big problem is that the fenced areas do not have bands, food, etc. They did do a better job last year. This doesn't stop me from doing my own thing but it still sucks.
I've been to several of the NoCal festivals (garlic, apple, corn, seafood, etc). All other festivals pale in comparison to the Crawdaddy.

The dead giveaway this is not a southern festival is the word "crawdaddy"...

Down here it is crawfish or mud bugs.

Dunk, its in Isleton just north of Rio Vista a few miles. I think it's closer to you than where I live.

I'm thinkin' it's about 45-50 min from me, might make an attempt to go tomorrow. Just went through on the way from Vacaville to Yosemite the other day and saw the signs. Is there live music?

It's lobster season up here. The problem is that I have a real problem taking home dinner in a box with breathing holes. Plopping the squirmy thing in boiling water gives me the creeps.

I'm not what one would call a 'touchy-feely' guy - I hunt and fish. But... I dunno.

(I'm arguing with myself about buying one for dinner.)

Dunk, there's live music galore. It's usually hotter than hell during the day, though.
