“1.Komperdell A.S. Explorer poles. ##very solid, never gave, locked down tight. comfortable handles. Would like some neoprene straps maybe instead of the nylong webbing. The tip doesn't flex either, and one pole slightly bent when walking forward and it was lodged in between 2 rocks. It bent back with no harm done. First pair of poles..and am impressed for 50 bucks. 2.Esbit Stove. ##of course we all know..light weight. Did not have a soot problem, and it boiled water faster than the hikers with whisperlights in my camp. I was eating way before them! 3.Hennesey Hammock expedition. ##light, and a small pack size..wonderful. Found 2 trees and set it up pretty quick. Since it was my first real setup it took a lil readjusting. And i will be able to pick better trees next time. Guy'd the sides out to a downed log, and rocks. Read a book for about an hour and a half, then went to sleep. Can get cold on the bottom easy. But very nice not to be on the hard ground.” 9:34:34 AM 5/28/02 “That hammock is looking sweeter and sweeter, perfect for warmer days. I'm thinking of ordering one soon, gotta check my budget.” 10:00:40 AM 5/28/02 “80 something bucks at their website. They had too many of the green/blue ones.” 10:20:11 AM 5/28/02 Hennessey Hammock “I'm going to be using mine the 2nd weekend in June on a 4 day trip. Looking foward to it!” 8:25:41 PM 5/28/02 “I'm gonna get a Hennessee Hammock before the Sipsey reunion in September.” 8:59:25 PM 5/28/02 “Got my Princeton Tec Aurora headlamp and some more Esbit fuel in the mail today! Woohoo! I already blinded the wife with it! woohooo!” 10:32:13 PM 5/28/02 “bitpusher...the esbit tabs or the aurora..lol new use for the headlamp...when you want the lights on "during" and your wife wants them off LMAO” 7:55:18 AM 5/29/02
