Returned Sunday from a 7-day trip in the Weminuche Wilderness in Colorado.

Unlike normal years there's no snow until you get above 10,000 feet or so. We went up Vallecitos Creek, crossed Rock Creek, headed up to Rock and Flint Lakes and returned the same way. Lots of bear sign but never saw an actual bear. Saw elk, deer, grouse and a lot of wild trout. Also, didn't see anyone until Saturday, when the Memorial Day crowd started showing up.

Sounds like a good trip. I'd like to see Colorado sometime. Gonna post any pictures?

I'd love to see pics. I can get to Durango or Pagosa Springs in about 4 hours. This wilderness that I can never remember how to spell or pronounce is on my "to do" list.
