It sounded like a good weekend for a trip.
How was it??

I had a great time on the superior hiking trail, no bugs, no rain, sunny cool weather, couldn't have been better, great views, good hike, breaking in a brand new pair of boots my feet are sore, but it was well worth it, the winter got me out of shape a little bit, or at least a different kind of shape, you use different muscles for snowmobiling, i'm feelin good though, i'm ready for some more :)

It was good but I'm taking a pollen break today. I spent too much time outdoors this weekend and I'm trying to let my lungs and sinuses recover.

I think if I had gone on the LeConte Extravaganza, I'd have drowned in my own phlegm.

We went up in the Beartooth Mountains this weekend. Ran in the mornings and mountain biked in the afternoons. I took my 3 year old daughter on her most extended hike ever up to Crazy Creek (the one the chairs are named after) to the Falls. She had a great time; collected sticks and bugs, threw rocks and waded in the creek. We saw lots of moose (meese?) over the weekend and one was browsing through our place. On the way home we got turned back on the pass because of heavy, drifting snow so we had to take another route through Sunlight Basin. It was a good weekend...

Stanlee,
Gotta get those last few days in. Next weekend is the end of snowboarding season, which is good. Gotta get the hiking boots on and get ready for Montanapalooza and the Winds!

Not too bad considering...
Well lets see, my three days backpacking around the Chilnualna Falls area in Yosemite turned into an overnighter. Long story short, our progress was too slow to make the complete three days so we decided to stay one night instead.

Yesterday, I went to work for a few hours and went home sick. Thankfully I'm better now, so it looks like I'll be back in Yosemite this weekend.

The weekend was great, we went horseback riding and camping and had a real nasty t-storm hit. We had to catch a couple of horses in the woods but overall great trip..hey "dirtyoldman" where did you go riding? Maybe you were at our camp too?. we must have had 40 or more hoses..

in reply to "dirtyoldman".. we camped out at Pine Grove Furnace..Michlox State Part in PA. first day ride was from 8:00-4:00.. that was certanily a butt buster.. than just a few short trips for about an hour for the rest of the weekend.. it was most definetly one of the worst t-storm i have been in a long time...

sounds like we got hit by the same storm. I think being inside a tent and not knowing what was going on outside made the situation even worse as one's imagination tends to kick in high gear....

we hiked around the 12 mile trail out there on saturday and did a 2 hour horse ride on sunday.

one of the other hikers thought we were being "ambitious".
