I am getting my 17 year old daughter ready for a three week trip to Ireland! She is good friends with a girl who is going to visit family and invited her along. I originaly planned to drop them a granny's and head south to hike The Dingle Way but went into shock when I checked plane ticket prices. So being the greatest Mom that I am she goes -I stay. What a lucky kid. By the time they visit all the kin they will have worked their way across the whole dang country. I guess I'll get a taste of "the empty nest syndrom". Three free weekends for hikin' though.

Wolf -

Are looking to adopt? I know a early male in his early thirties that would be more than happy to have you adopt him. Comes house broken doesn't scratch that much in public...

Wow, Wolfsister, you are a strong lady, letting her go without you when she is only 17. She will probably realize some day how lucky she is to have you and will wonder at how fearless you are. My Mom was like that and now that I am a mother too, I'm amazed and really proud of her.

That is way nice of you Wolfsister!

My 17 year old son and 15 year old daughter will be traveling to Washington D.C. with their High School Band and will be performing in our Nations Capitol July 4th-6th . It was really hard for me to let them go... but they really want to go. They almost cancelled the trip several times after 9/11/01. It only cost me $1,400. and a few of nights sleep while they're gone. But it should be a trip they remember for the rest of their lives.

You get the remote and it's all about you! You also have the bathroom to yourself, which is not too shabby.
