Late June BP Trip
When: June 22-23 Saturday over nighter

Where: Section II OHT, Fane Creek to FR 1510

Length: ~9 - 9.5 miles

Type: Lightweight Backpacking

Meet Friday night at Fane Creek for those wanting to camp two nights. Others may meet Saturday morning around 8:00 to help shuttle cars.

Hit the trail at 9:00-9:30 a.m. Saturday morning and hike West to Spirit Creek. Spirit Creek has awesome rock flows along the creek bed and has many nice camp sites. Yes there is water. This will be a seven mile day. A slight uphill (750 elevation change) stretching over 5 miles and the last two downhill (500 ft). In the heat of summer plan on making about 2-2.5 miles per hour max.

Sunday morning hike out to (shuttled cars) 2.5 miles uphill covering approximately 1000 feet elevation change.

Total hike ~ 9.5 miles

Now it is Roll Call Time.

(1) There will be a pool of water 4-6 feet deep under a 10 ft waterfall on Spirit Creek to refresh ourselves in Saturday night.

(2) There will be British accents for entertainment.

Jgiles - man don't you need a night out on the trail? Think of this as training for the Montana trip.

I'll give Stikmon a call.

I'm here
I don't mind switching what trail I'll hit. I just prefer a loop since the logistics for me is better. I have a group of four and plan to hike 22-26 June. All my group just have southern accents.

jgeils

Mary Jane
Mary Jane is what could be considered "Old School" Trail Talk.

Back about 3 years ago I think, there was a Troll named Gentel Ben that had a long thread going named something like "Last Dance with Mary JAne" or something similar. It was actually a fun read. I don't think it made it when TT changed over.

At least that is what I assume he is refering to.

Mozark
Don't trust a brit!!! they have raped, pilladged and plundered the world for centuries. They have stolen artifacts and treasures from every indigenous culture that they have conquered. To this day, they still have not returned the artifacts that they excavated from our own nation, including Native American artifacts from Mound City Nat'l Monument in Chillicothe Ohio. They have refused... I say REFUSED to return budah's and other religious icons from India.

The arrogance of the British is astounding!!! I think it is high time that we go over the "pond" and kick some Brit a$$ on thier own soil. We whomped them before...its time to do it again, and get back our belongings!!!

Tell your brother in law...I said a big Missouri HOWDieeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!...and if he is gonna be livin in Ark...ya gonna have some dude named Bubba, teach em how to squeel likes a piggggy....LOL at myself....hahahaha
