That was a mistake I will not repeat.” 4:38:34 PM 6/07/02 “sorry bit but Newgirl didnt say If she dated them all separately or when she started. Back to square one! BBW- you want a man who is honest but will lie to you about your appearance?” 4:39:19 PM 6/07/02 “Yep, Phaedrus. What tipped you off? LOL!” 4:39:31 PM 6/07/02 “Damn! I hate when that happens... I dated redheads only for a while, until I met my wife. After that, brains are my main thing. Funny, my wife has that too (just finished her masters!). She's great! It's not that I don't find other types of women pretty, it's just something about a women with red hair....” 4:40:37 PM 6/07/02 “I did say Dirty. Go back and read. I was 16 when I started dating.” 4:41:07 PM 6/07/02 “I want a guy that likes NPR and PBS.” 4:43:44 PM 6/07/02 “Hey I never claimed to be able to read.... so you dated all eight at once? :P ... excessive denial will be considered 8*}” 4:44:30 PM 6/07/02 “I will probably get myself in trouble here but, I like women, that are wild, adventuresome, daring, physcially flexable, not afraid of challenges, not afraid to speak her mind. Not afraid to ask for what she wants. And knows when not to speak "just do". A honest heart is a big plus!” 4:51:53 PM 6/07/02 “NPR and PBS are good, but I get the national geographic channel at home. That kicks butt.” 4:59:45 PM 6/07/02 “Phaedrus: "My wife is my type, so I guess I like beautiful German intellectual women." Mine is German also -- Tall, blond, deep blue eyes, long legged, no butt, smart and can be cruel if situation dictates.” 5:01:07 PM 6/07/02 “Of course, I am speak with a confidence of nearly 26 years of marriage. Still going to get a$$ in trouble. LOL” 5:01:37 PM 6/07/02 “I subscribe to the mag. Phaedrus.” 5:04:05 PM 6/07/02 My type? “Must have a pulse.” 5:05:47 PM 6/07/02 “Newgie, it takes about three years to get over a relationship. I think I need even more time. There were a couple that I didn't need any time.” 5:06:54 PM 6/07/02 “ "Mine is German also -- Tall, blond, deep blue eyes, long legged, no butt, smart and can be cruel if situation dictates." Sounds very dissimilar to my wife. She is rarely, if ever cruel, and she's got a kickin' butt. Long live my wife!” 5:09:33 PM 6/07/02 “Geo, I'm lucky. Most of my break-ups were mutual and we remained friends, but I still should have taken more time. This last relationship was like a marriage though and of course, produced a child, I need some major time. It was not a happy ending.” 5:11:43 PM 6/07/02 “Wow, what is my type? Still don't know and this is 2nd marriage. During the late 60's & early 70's it was any girl who was into sex, drugs and rock & roll. Back then at least to me there wasn't any relationships, you could always find a female to hang with. In those days sex was like candy, it was everywhere. My wife is a redhead and smart, seems like quite a few of us guys are married to one. I meet my current wife through my first wife, they worked in the same office...oh the stories that were told...lol” 5:17:20 PM 6/07/02 “Neither of my marriages was a happy ending, and the last relationship was a wierd ending. Kids are always a complicating factor. For years I was estranged from my sons. I have a good relationship with the oldest, which is good because he has four kids. The youngest is still strained. It's just not easy. I felt guilty about not being there for the kids, but my oldest recently told me that I did the right thing. "Mom's very controlling," he said. I almost laughed my @$$ off. Took the words out of my mouth. At least one of them understands. My only hope is that the other one comes around eventually. Time will tell. In the meantime, let the child have a relationship with Pop if he's available, and one hopes he is. If not the kid will make up her own mind in time.” 5:20:44 PM 6/07/02 Check this out... my type “let's see... i like a girl that i can talk to, with a good personality, someone sweet and nice, a "good girl" if she's cute it helps but looks aren't everything. I like a girl that i can sit on the beach and hold hands with while watching a sunset, or cuddle in front of a fire and watch a movie… most importantly I need a girl that enjoys being outside- camping, canoeing, backpacking…” 5:22:07 PM 6/07/02 “I'll only post one type instead of all the types i like for fear of going without. Small nympho redheads!!!!!!!!!!!!. *grins and runs to hide*” 5:23:10 PM 6/07/02 “He cuts down trees He wears high heels Suspenders and a bra He wants to be a girlie Just like his dear Papa” 5:26:43 PM 6/07/02 “What in the world?” 5:33:41 PM 6/07/02 “ya know what you call gay lumberjacks eh?....Spruce” 5:44:34 PM 6/07/02 My type... “hmm... I don't really have a physical type... I LIKE EM' ALL! It's about attitude with me... She's got to be a confident smartass” 5:46:13 PM 6/07/02 “I like a single man. I had no idea towndawg was married. He didn't seem married when we were discussing sexual fantasies. Why is a married man in a dating chat room? Why does he consider my BBW title to be a lie? He is the liar. A married man trying to pick up a girlfriend? What an ass.” 6:33:46 PM 6/07/02 type? “I guess it would be good if the guy can type but the main things I like in a man are lifting heavy sh!it, reaching up to the top shelves and a good dancer on the mattress. It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing....ba do ba dap” 6:40:35 PM 6/07/02 “I dated a guy who looked EXACTLY like Tom Greene” 7:29:37 PM 6/07/02 “Capital G gross!” 7:30:55 PM 6/07/02 “heh I am not that picky when it comes to looks but I refuse to date a guy who's not nice” 7:49:42 PM 6/07/02 BBW is better than Lying Fat Basterd “I won't date a married man. This is why Towndawg hates me. He is a cheater, but I am not.” 7:52:46 PM 6/07/02 “I like what Aero said! Girls rock!!!!! 8)” 8:12:57 PM 6/07/02 “I always thought Ghandi was sexy. Now there's a man who's not afraid to look decadent in a bedcloth.” 8:21:41 PM 6/07/02 “My type is - Kind,Sober, Spiritual,Outdoorsy, and Loyal. Is that too much to ask?” 8:25:57 PM 6/07/02 “I like a woman who loves backpacking. Thats all I ask for! 8)” 8:30:37 PM 6/07/02 “You don't care if she is loyal?” 8:38:56 PM 6/07/02 “Ya that too! 8)” 8:44:01 PM 6/07/02 “I thought so.” 8:51:51 PM 6/07/02 “I like sleeeeezy, sticky, I've just hikes 10 miles and I wanna get it on kinda girls. Of course, in their tent on their bag. hehe” 8:55:24 PM 6/07/02 “towndawg is a loyal, royal, fat basterd. Why don't you girls support me?” 9:06:42 PM 6/07/02 “None of the Above.” 9:13:53 PM 6/07/02 my type “ 10:23:35 PM 6/07/02 try again? “ 10:26:38 PM 6/07/02 “A man who can find humor in just about anything..Soft spoken but not a wussy.. A man that shows respect to everyone no matter race, religion, etc.. And most of all..One who doesnt smack when he eats.. Long hair is a plus..” 10:48:17 PM 6/07/02 I think I found a girl that I really like “We'll see how it goes. She's Smart, great smile, great laugh, cute, petite, red head, backpacks, hikes, canoes, cooks, has own home. Likes the same music I like, films, literature, art...this could be interesting...Sonja, if you read this...thanks a bunch...the summer is now gonna be even better!” 11:02:10 PM 6/07/02 we talked about this very thing at work today! “having a laundry list of preferences is pretty much fear and neurosis. IMHO......limits the possibilities of blissful interactions...... from the perspective of an old single woman....most men i encounter have a list of fears and/or preferences a mile long based on their past not so great experiences......and some "present" ones too...:/ if one experiences a rush or peace or pure love and happiness in someones presence without needs or conditions or fear of not being in their presence.....wherever you are or whatever you are doing together.(hopefully backpacking a lot! and hopefully both single..heh...or married to one another)....you aren't even conscious of their "type"..who cares?..if you are both ecstatic just being? guess it is about being on the same wavelength for me~~~~~~~~~~ that being said...heh.....type: a yogi cowboy who likes backpacking and paddling and swimmin and has carpentry skills and doesnt talk in movies....the hard part is being HIS type...there's the rub usually ah well..one can dream.. Newgirl LOL! pressure from me? yikes...no pressure on the cowboy....(jest have him wrapped up with a bow waiting at the trailhead with an extra horse..okay?) lol.... whoa..this was long~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~” 11:42:18 PM 6/07/02 “Buffy.” 1:25:03 AM 6/08/02 “Interesting... interesting. Like newgirl, I've dated a lot. Well, since I'm a bunch older than newgirl, I've dated even more. :-) Divorced since '88. Longest, hmmmmm, shall we call it "dating experience?" 7 years. Most were 6 months anyway. Have always thought I had a "type" I wanted, but recently am rethinking that. Yeah, he's gotta like the outdoors. Never thought I wanted anyone with kids (yeah, try that...although, remarkably, there are guys out there with no kids....lol) But now I'm thinking, well, OK, maybe this is my chance to get into that....... with either kids or (shudder to think of my age) GRANDKIDS!! LOL!! Types of guys? They run the gamut, but do something that keeps them outdoors, like softball, running, mt. biking...... hmmm, the hikers haven't been on the list too much. And if I go to softball tournaments a ton of weekends for 7 years... lol... I'm gonna want enough respect that once in awhile you're gonna at least try something I want to do. Yeah, I have an attitude, too (who woulda guessed??) I want someone who'll express his opinions, no matter how different, cuz I certainly will mine. And we debate, and maybe not resolve anything, but sure will think about it. And it's fun. One guy I dated said that to show respect to him, I shouldn't always have a comeback to what he said, or want to discuss it. Excuse me, was that advice from Emily Post in 1919? lol!! Ok, so do men want a woman who has formulated her own opinions and can express them..... or one who stands mutely there. I know that answer for myself and can only suspect MOST men want someone who can speak out. Or am I only DELUSIONAL!?!?!!! lol” 8:59:26 AM 6/08/02 “Om, I'll do my bestest!” 9:08:00 AM 6/08/02 TD RE: BBW “TD did you take advantage of bbw or somthing? is she like an ex-wife or what? What ever happened, SHE sure seems to have the psycho-ex routine down pat... maybe you might want to watch your back. People with that much of a fixation can become very dangerous.” 9:54:32 AM 6/08/02 “My wife and I are still in our "trial" period. We just had our 17th wedding anniversary(sp). We got a gig offer we couldn't refuse & so I had to do some fast thinkin, as she was a little perterbed that she was gonna be watching me play guitar all night and not "with" her. NOt to worry, I work best under pressure. I snagged a dozen yellow roses and a card at WalMart & called my singer, right before he left fot the gig and told him to look the words to wonderful tonight. When the time came(late in the 2nd set), I called her up and made a big deal outta it being our anniversary, and made a toast with everyone in the bar(bout 70 peeps) & then we did the sone "wonderful tonight" and I danced with her while I played the leads, reaching around her, lol. Then later on in the 3rd set I sang "Pride N Joy" & dedicated it to her. It was a complete SLAM DUNK. She loved it! I was all.....wow, that was easy. Sure doesn't seem like 17 years. We have the 3 most wonderfull boys I could ever ahve hoped for and I thank God for them many times every day. I thank my wife for that too. She is still beautiful & funny & tough & loves the out doors, and a very loving mother. Honey? Can I go hikin next weekend?” 10:21:50 AM 6/08/02
