Fall Hiking Schedule

“Well for anyone who might want to come along.. it looks like my fall hiking schedule is starting to shape up. If you have interest, you will need to email me (towndawg@hotmail.com) so I can put you on my 'secret invited list'.. LMAO!!

September, either labor day weekend or the next -- Let's get up a bunch and go do the Porters Creek Manway. I figure we can camp CS31 Friday, and do the haul butt routine up the rockface on Saturday. Those who want can crawl out to their car down the AT out at Newfound Gap, or we can add one more day by picking another good campsite or shelter.

October, second or third weekend -- Have to go back to Roan Mountain, except this time we are doing the 2500' climb first. Will overnight on top of Big Hump (no water, great views). Thought about including the 19 mile stretch in from US321 to US19E also. If so, will need Friday, Saturday and Sunday to get it all.

November, no plans yet.

December, first weekend -- Titanium chef 2002. Yes we will have 100 people there this year, most likely. Fun, fellowship, prizes, great food, music, singing, and yes (shudder) probably even some partying.”
