“The following week I leave for NC, then denver, and then its a race to see how many trips I can cram in before the end of the year. There will be many other Stikmon Enterprises canoe trips this summer, somewhere on a stream near you.”

Sat shuttle vehicles down river to Houchins Ferry, go back upriver to Green River Ferry (near the visitor center. Float downstream 12 miles on Saturday to the vehicles. camp at houchins ferry Sat night. Sun go to visitor center and get ready for whatever tour that you want...me...I'm doing the wild cave tour...its 6-6 1/2 hours...very strenous and size restricted...cost $45.00. Great description on the tour here but you can choose from any tour you would want. If your interested in this trip...act NOW!!! there is no time to delay as this is kind of last minute and tours do sell out. I'm gonna order my ticket tomorrow and make reservations for a camp site...so please, if your interested in this trip. let me know soon. Only serious travelers need apply...joking...there are 51 sites at the HQ campground still available...2 tents per site.”

“its a $45.00 deal to do the wild cave tour...crawling on belly on your hands and knees through the bowls of the earth...sucking in mud, dirt, eating cave crickets for snacks...yeah man, thats the ticket for me.”

“there is only one ticket available for the wild cave tour, I did not book it. Maybe it would be good to just canoe the river for 2 days. and go back to do the tour when there are more tickets available, for others to join in on the caving experience.

“(put in) to the southern most it is a canoe trip of 20 miles. I think we could manage that in 2 days, then sat night, we would be camping on the river and that is permitted anywhere along the river.

Then on sunday, finish the canoe trip and then either hang out, go home take an afternoon tour, whatever...but tours need to be booked in advance...its the summer and it will be busy.”

“I'm gonna be strictly on the water this trip. I will be picking up Carabiner in Paducha on my way out and then heading straight to the campground. I will make my reservation under the name of Stikmon. So...if anyone else is wanting to go here is the reservation #1-800-365-2267. The camp ground will be the "Headquarters Camp Ground". Make sure that you tell them to put you either next to me or in close proximity, this way we can all be together.

If you are arriving later than 6 pm on Friday, you will need to call this number 270-758-2212 on friday, this will alert the CG that you are coming in late, but will be there. This is what I will be doing, I expect to get there late as Carabiner gets off work at 8 and then we will be on the way immediately.

“Ceaser Creek is about as close to (between Cincy and Columbus), and there is a killer river that feeds out of Ceaser Lake!!! Ive been wanting to hit this section for awhile.

and 1st exit in Columbus is Exit #100 Stringtown Rd., #101 is I-270 the Columbus Belt loop.

June 22/23, 20 mile 2 day canoe trip with one night camping on the river. We will meet on Friday evening, camp in the campground, then get our permits on Sat morning and hit the water.

Come on out and play.”

Here is what I have thought about in light of prowler spending saturday nite back at the campground.

Fri nite arrive and camp at the campground.

Sat morn get river camping permits and shuttle boats up to Dennison Ferry. (mile 204.5), then shuttle my vehicle to Houchins Ferry (mile 185) We will need to take both vehicles on this venture...Prowler, you should have your wife with us on this, so when we get back to the starting point as Dennison Ferry, she can move your vehicle back to the campground. . All this should take less than 2 hours.

Prowler, if you have walkie talkies, I would bring them, this way, when you reach the Green river Ferry, you can radio her to come and pick you up, either that or your hiking to the camp ground, or hitching a ride...lol.

Carabiner, we can continue down river to @ the 10 mile marker and find a sand bar to camp on. I really don't want to be in the CG on Sat nite...but If you want to camp ground it, I'll do it.

Also, carabiner, I will have a cooler, so bring what real food you want. Do you drink beer? I haven;t thought about food yet, but I will soon enough...gonna bring a mini wok and stir fry something, just don't know what yet. Bring what you will. I;m gonna do pancakes and sausage for breakfast on Sat morn...breakfast is on me. All you need to worry about is what you want for lunch and dinner and drinks, except water and beer (if you drink beer).”
