because it looks like ill need a shuttle. and that sucks but it beats paddling up river”

“No, Tony's the guy with the cement footwear. I'm the guy who gets chained to the desk. When I can slip my chain and get loose, I head for the hills until they catch me, take me back, and chain me up again.”

“im going to go to Round Valley in NJ. i think this this is wise. still beinger i dont want to drown on my first trip solo!
but i have to tell you about my trip on fathers day.
well you know i got him a raft and myself a cheap little kayak. well i love it!! unless you have done something like this then you will not understand it unless you go back to your first backpacking trip. we went to Geoges Island Park. that is just a little north of Croton. well we got there very late. and as soon as we started to cook it started to rain. but it did not last long. so when we put in our boats there were not many boats left on the water. so we had the hudson to ourselfs or atleast it felt that way. but we had a great time even if it only lasted for a couple of hours. my children evern tried the yak and loved it. so now i cant wait for my kayaking and camping trip. i hate to say this but i think i may have found a new hobby (hay dont be mad at me for saying this) my first true love will always be Backpacking!!. but hay if i can paddle to cooler places that i may not be able to get to hiking then why not?? so im off for my next big adventure.”

“Adventures are what you make of them where you find them. Nobody else can make your adventure unless you want them to. Nobody else can take your adventure away from them. Whether I'm car camping, fossil hunting, day hiking, or backpacking depends on what I want to do. And whatever I do, I generally have fun doing it and find time to take in and appreciate my surroundings.
So enjoy your trip. It's what you laid out for yourself.
