PNWers: The Enchantments

“I've got a line on six hard-to-come-by permits for the famed Enchantment Lakes in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness of Washington. Dates are July 22-27, entry via the Snow Creek route.

It's not very scenic...

...but that's okay.

There should be less visitors up there this year as the Colchuck Lake/Asgaard Pass route will be unavailable due to bridge construction.

I'm scheduled to be on the John Muir Trail those dates... also not too sleazy in the scenic beauty department.”

“That's real tempting, Kleetn, and close too. I've looked into that area a bit, while down in Leavenworth. If I had the extra week, I'd join you, on my way back from Montana. The timing would be perfect. Unfortunately, they will be looking for me at work, by the 24th.

“Oops! The date I posted was wrong, my permits are actually for July 15-20th...does that help anyone with their schedule?
