I am talking about the one when you go into the Lake Michigan Recation Area?

And can you get to it via any of the trail systems in there?

I just thought it would be a great place to find a campsite and new places to go hiking in there.

“It's Porter creek Mike. I found that in the MI Gazetteer. Still looking for the topo to check for trails....”

“Ah ha! I found it! No trails to it. The topo is the Hamlin Lake Quad if you wanna get it for bushwacking. Mason County is where it's at. The creek is just North of the Rec area right?”

“So what map would I use for it?Becuase it seems thats it not that far from the main trails in the Wilderness Area Sass?


I guess I need to but the Topo map that you have.

Thank you so very much for the info I think the next time I am backpacking there I am going to park close to where it is a do a bushwacking trip.

“yeah but the house is a mess. Slowly but surely it will come together. The dang riding mower won't start and the grass is a foot high. The previous owner won't return my call about the mower. The ignition switch is messed up. I know he used it up until the last week but he must have a secret way of starting it. I may pay someone to cut it until I can figure out what the guy was doing.”
