Superior hiking trail

“I'm leaving tomorrow, I'm going from two harbors to beaver bay, with a newbie... again, i think he can handle it, it's gonna be nice to be out on the trail again, sittin around home... working sux, 'i'd rather be backpacking'”

“It is a great trail, as long is it's not too busy, but mid week it shouldn't be bad, i'm leavin right quick, looks like some decent weather, with a t-storm or two... makes for excitement :)”

“How is the bug situation on the Superior Trail? Right now in the Adirondacks, which I suppose is similar "North Country," it is height of both blackfly and mosquito seasons (they overlap... blackflies'll be just about gone in coupla weeks... when the deerflies start to become thick).

Seriously, hope you have a great hike and that the bugs ain't too bad.But don't forget (or regret?) that I tole you guys to bring plenny of DEET and to wear headnets.”

I don't remember if i ever typed one for this trip, but I just heard from the guy that I took with, and he's missed backpacking since i took him, and wanted to get into it himself, and i finally put up the pictures from our trip... looks like i was a little stingy on taking pics, only 11 of them... It was nice to hear from him though I told him about my road trip, future plans (he'd like to join me on a section), and he's joined the army, and everything else that's happened since our june backpacking trip... it's always nice to hear from old friends.”
