Re that Roaring Creek Trail that you were talking about on the Roaring Plains Trip Report thread, is that the one that meets the Roaring Plains Trail near its junction with the Flatrock Run Trail, slabs downhill to the left of Porte Crayon from that meadow?

Almost Missed This
No

Going from the pipeline up to The Plains the old Roaring Creek Trail goes left at an acute angle at a place about 3/4 to 1 mile along the R P Tr.

The old maps show a trail there.
But you know how that can be....some of the maps were made from aerial photos taken in 1927 revised in 1981 or something like that.

R C Trail follows Roaring Creek down to Roaring Creek Road to where it meets Long Run.
Route 33 and the village of Onego is about 3 miles from that point.

Onego is about 3(?) miles west of "The Rock".

Would that be at the top of the pitch where the RP trail turns abruptly right?
Onego is about three miles west of the rock. I've walked up and down that road from White's Run to Seneca Rocks twice to buy new stoves. My stoves have a bad habit of crapping out at the little campsite where White's Run dumps into Seneca Creek.
