You all confuse it with something else anyway
well yeah, I had a great trip to the north shore of lake superior, nothing really major, lots of great views, about 600 billion tent caterpillars, there wasn't an inch of land without one, it's crazy. And we got 4.5 inches of rain on saturday night, oh it was comin down, i thought i was gonna get washed away, but i'm still here. and i don't regret bringing a newbie out there, he thinks he wants to get into backpacking, i invited him here to meet some 'real' backpackers ;) great trip though, gave me some time to think, get in shape for my nissimaha, and "The big Trip" it got me to thinking too... oh yeah, he did great, didn't mind a little pain, since he was hiking in tennis shoes, he rolled his ankles a few times, but hiked through it, nothing too major. never complained about any of the rain, or weather, though he did mention the fact that there was a few mosquitoes a few times... though i didn't even notice them. and the tent caterpillars were terrible, so it's alright to complain a little, but ya gotta bear with it, he did good for his first time with a backpack on

Dude! 4.5 inches of rain. Egads! Wonder how much snow that would be.

Simer, on the south shore we had huge amounts of mosquitos and black flies, but no rain until Sunday. And certainly not 4.5 inches!

I saw about 3 black flies and 10 mosquitoes, lots of flies, but they don't do much accept fly around, and yeah, i couldn't believe when i woke up and my largest pot was overflowing with water, at least 3 or more inches, the lady in town said 4-4.5, and boy were the rivers flowing after that.
