“I can answer for the lower portion of MI about those colors: currently, we're at about 1/4 color, 3/4 green. Mostly yellows, not much in the reds or oranges yet. I'm sure as you head further North, there are more colors to be seen.

Cider mills are running at full strength, and haunted forests/houses are already going too, for anyone interested.

Nightly temps down here in the southeastern section, have turned to the chilly side now....it's 45F here at 7:41 am. For great weather reports, go to accuweather.com and look at the radar tab, as well as the local page tab. I just checked on Gaylord for this coming weekend, and it's saying that Sat., we should expect rain. But then again........

“Buddha - First day, up to 6. Saturday and Sunday each should be around 11-12.”

“If it's predominately flat, I may be able to handle it. My stitches come out Wednesday, and the pain in my kneecap is fading fast. I'm supposed to be in the brace for 3 weeks, cutting it a week short doesn't sound so bad.

“Buddha - Course is not flat. The hills would not allow you, IMHO, to git through. I wouldn't risk it. As I said before, the course is accessible by vechile, you would be able to met us at various places along the trail (both north and south side) during the hike and you would be able to camp with us as well (both nights).

That area has been getting A LOT of rain this past week, so fires should not be a problem.

WD - I will bring my FRS and I have a scanner.

So Buddha, if you aren't hiking on Saturday because of your knee, will you be around camp that afternoon? Perhaps we can join forces, as my right knee, hip and heel are giving me intermittant problems - so no heavy loads up and down hills at the moment, but a day pack stroll should be okay, or some back road recon, or an in-camp cocktail hour.

Of course, if I can pull this off, it means personal delivery of genuine Wisconsin cheese curds to Smiley girl, tarabull and others of the curd persuasion. I just have to figure how many pounds this gang might need. What's the count now, about 20?
