I had a question where I was supposed to find the mean of a set of data which was displayed in a Stem and Leaf plot. I had no idea how to read it. I think I might have learned about that one, fifteen years ago. TD - It was a quadratic funtion, not equation. I'm not even sure how that's different (lol) but, it must be cause the equation didn't look like the quadratic equations I remember (like the one you displayed above) from school. So...I was given a quadratic function and asked to "translate it -3 units about the x-axis" and then determine the new, transformed function. I don't even know what that means. Let alone how to re-write it.
