My wife and I announced we were getting married on a Monday and we got married on Thursday. Our friends sang and played piano, a friend took great photos, everybody brought a dish, my wife borrowed a dress, I wore my Army Dress Blues, the church was full over 200 people in attendance, the place was full of flowers and candles, everybody had a great time. That was 1990 and we are still going strong. I'm so glad we did it that way. The only thing missing was a honeymoon, not that we had the money for one anyway. I had recently gotten a nasty set of orders from GHW Bush. Uncle Sam had me in formation the next morning. It was the start of Gulf War I and I was sent off to Oklahoma for training.
