Good morning.

Spring has arrived here in Melbourne, Florida. Sweatshirts in the early morning and daily highs in the upper 70's. And no rain!

Hope it is as nice in your location. Enjoy your day. These may be the best days of your life. If you love someone, tell them.

I'm having a lovely time (aHem) hunting down all the clocks to set them ahead --- I usually forget the one on the stove.... and the car radio....

The clock in the computer seems to have reset correctly.

Thanks for the reminder Tilt.
Abby came flying out of her room last night, long after I thought she'd be asleep to remind me. Did them all (but the car )then.

33° already! High of 48° today. Our yard is one giant frozen puddle. Soon it will be one giant puddle. This time next year hopefully not a puddle in sight. Looking at our yard right now is downright discouraging.

YO Bear! Goodmorning!!

Yup, it's spring at least for the next few days. My driveway is mud and the road in front of my house is mud, but I still walked about 6.5 miles on it yesterday. The forest is covered with very wet, heavy snow and currently not where I want to walk. We've been in the low 50's the past 2 days so the snow is going fast. Probably be 50 again today. As the weather warms the texture of snot running from my nose seems to change, but Smiley Girl is the expert on that (remember bloody snot?), so I'll leave it for her expertise. Peace.

Nimble, are you pregnant???

Morning. We set the clocks, and the alarms to go to church. G is totally exhausted, so we skipped the service I really wanted to go to, and will go to the later service at another church. I slept almost all day yesterday, and feel like I could again today. I'm wondering if my iron is low, will check this week at the dr. Its either that or these darn 7th graders draining my energy.

Think I'll go for another walk today, though the one yesterday totally wore me out. G finally took the Christmas lights down yesterday. We're the white trash of the street, I guess. LOL!

I'll be grading research papers all day today. Yippee! At least they'll be done, until they revise them for extra points. I truly hate teaching English.

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!

Fish wrangling can actually be fun. Just remember to emptry your pockets before you get in the pond (the water is drained down to 9 inches) so you don't soak your phone, wallet, etc...

Dang it all. Thanks for all the reminders. I just plumb forgot about daylight saving time. My computer did not reset. If I reset it now, I'll have to reverse it in a few weeks. But this situation is nothing. I have lived through so many different time settings from Matt, I'm not going to worry about an hour.

It appears that you don't know that word either!

"No results found for hemaphrodite.
Did you mean hermaphrodite (in dictionary) or Hermaphrodite (in encyclopedia)?"
from dictionary.com
It was a nice attempt, though. Guess you do have something on your face!

If I remember correctly, it's a class, phylum, or something like that of a critter that bears both male and female reproductive organs, for instance an earthworm (I think).

Edit: I just googled it and it jumped up all over the place.

Birch told me I could have our dividend, usually we split it or get something we both want. How long is the twenty percent off coupon good for? I'll look when I go get more coffee.

So, 10:30 this morning is re-x-ray time! Hoping I come home w/out a cast on. Can't wait to walk with legs the same length and hips level. Boy what a difference a few inches make!

Then, I must find some rubber boots for Birch and maybe myself too. The mud is amazing in our yard. No match for crocs and the winter boots are feeling a tad warm now. Temps up to 51° today and 64° tomorrow! =D SPRING! Maybe the Groundhog was right!

You all have a wonderful day.

The road in front of my house is mud. I'm hoping it doesn't get "improved", because then the city people will be flocking in and my taxes will go up even more. Right now I have the area pretty much to myself, especially in the winter. When the snow is gone I've got to get the corners marked on the property and then do something (Deliverance?) about those ATV'ers. I shouldn't get too pumped about the snow melt, because we still could be about 3 blizzards removed from spring. This should be the 4th consecutive day of at least 50 degrees.

Good morning.

Dayhiker, post away. Whatever I can do to help. ;) I had to go back a nd read everything I posted this morning to try and figure out what you were refering to. Found it immediately. Those few inches do make a difference.

Two more weeks of the cast if I leave the house. I can wear a shoe around the house though. Nerve damage is almost totally gone, fractures healing nicely. Have some excercises to do and hopefully in two more weeks I'll be good to go. Walking around w/o the storm trooper boot is kinda funny. Very weak and wobbly. My foot is cold too. That thing was warm.

But, gotta enjoy it while I can! I have two normal shoes so can get out in the mud and plant my new Japenese fern and four new black raspberry bushes. Gotta catch up on my vitamin D. Have a great day everyone.

This will be the 5th consecutive day of 50 degrees or better. It is supposed to rain today, which should take much of the snow with it. March is such a tease with its hints of spring and summer. We're not out of it until May and perhaps not then. Whatever, I have snowshoes, skis, hiking gear, canoes, kayaks and....lots and lots of coffee.

I did a 2 hour presentation on the my AT hike last night. At least it was scheduled for 2 but ended up being 3 hours. Evidently that theory of thruhikers never tiring of talking about it has some merit:)

OK, first of all what is pwnage?

Second of all, good evening everyone. Wow, what a day. I've got calls into some engineering friends from my old company about a job there. Part-time there would pay more than double what I make working 12 hour days as a sub. Things came to a head today, and quite honestly I'm ready to give up the teaching gig for something less stressful.

Bottom line, give more money to the schools. Not to pay the subs but to get more computers in the school. I literally, for 4 weeks cannot get time for my kids to use the computers. That's not right.

Beautiful here today. Went for a walk with the neighbor and her girls, helped the old guy across the street after a nasty fall (he went by ambulance for an MRI), planted some bulbs I found sprouting in the garage, and cooked a nice dinner. Waiting for G to come home from baseball practice.

I love having the sunshine later in the day. LOVE it. :)

(sorry for rambling, folks!)

Have a great Hump Day, everyone!
