The plant was about 7 inches tall but had a whole lot of tubers, which means it should have been a lot bigger or there should have been several small plants. I found one small grub like thing, but no other moving bugs that I could see. My iris are rotting too, could be borers or just too wet. I put lime on them but may have been too late. The daylilies planted with the iris usually keep the borers off the iris, for some reason.
