Luckily, they only last about an hour at best. They didn't kick in until later yesterday, so I was able to get in a long paddle after work. Going kayaking again today at Fort Desoto. Going again tomorrow. That'll make four days in a row. I'm glad I have this sport to hold me over until the weather cools down and backpacking is possible once again. :-)” 7:25:35 AM 6/14/03 “Artex - What's best, getting out on the water or watching the White Stripes? You only have one week until Orlando. You know you're talking to a boy who spent years in the Rep. of Panama. Only two seasons there, wet and dry. Most of the year I could set my watch by the afternoon rain.” 8:03:27 AM 6/14/03 “LOL @ Nowslimmer! Yep, just one week, I can't wait. What were you doing in Panama? That's very cool! The only time I've been out of the country was when I was in Canada one time (I guess that dosen't really count). I may go to Brazil in January though, looking forward to that if I can make it happen.” 8:05:29 AM 6/14/03 “THe new Harry Potter book comes out on the 21st. YIPPEE! ALMOST THERE! Ahem.” 8:23:22 AM 6/14/03 “Man, that'll be an all-star day... Harry Potter and the White Stripes. Zowie!” 8:31:41 AM 6/14/03 Artex “Lived there, worked there, Brazil is far away, but worth the trip. Good luck with your plans.” 8:32:27 AM 6/14/03 “THe new HP book is 896 pages. THat'll keep me busy for a 24-hour period. I hope!” 8:35:16 AM 6/14/03 “That's cool, nowslimmer. I bet it was a great experience. Great kayaking down there also! :-) 896 pages?! Sweet!” 8:38:23 AM 6/14/03 “treebait - Does that mean that we won't get to hear from you next weekend? Geez, I might as well go backpacking then.” 8:47:57 AM 6/14/03 “Oh ha ha. I'm still painting the kitchen today. Yup, just watching the paint dry...” 9:40:53 AM 6/14/03 “Has the color improved?” 9:48:11 AM 6/14/03 “Thank God yes. It's now a nice cool sagey green. Not yellow. I may never do yellow again.” 9:54:13 AM 6/14/03 “Hmmmmm. Institutional green! LOL” 10:04:25 AM 6/14/03 “NOT! I was subjected to that color all through school. THis color is not even close.” 10:09:33 AM 6/14/03 “GOOD. I'm glad. Is HPM helping watch it dry? See you later. Time for some0ne-pocket pool games at the Golden Cue.” 10:16:10 AM 6/14/03 “"896 pages? That's not a novel; that's a Home Security System!" "It's a what?" "Yeah... if a burglar sneaks in, you can clock him with it."” 11:01:58 AM 6/14/03 “I'd never damamge a book that way, Tilt! That's why I have cast iron pans lying around! That'll REALLY clock 'em!” 1:00:33 PM 6/14/03 “No wonder HPM seems so domesticated, always so polite. Even willing to search through the trash bins at church for his wife when something is missing. LOL (Actually, it's really nice to see a happy couple. Love you both.) Let me know when the paint is dry. I have a box of crayons for Laurel. LOL” 1:48:50 PM 6/14/03 Am I the only one up? “Goodmorning all. Trying to reschedule myself onto the day shift. It's not working so well thus far. My eyes are red, lol. Can't figure out why, I actually get more sleep this shift.” 4:56:39 AM 6/17/03 “caffeine.........” 5:37:51 AM 6/17/03 Good morning. “ 5:44:21 AM 6/17/03 “Heh, Nowslimmer, I heard that you might be having some thunderstorms! I can't remember where I saw that, but I thought you might want to know. j/k We are dodging rain pretty good lately. Seems like normal summer weather now.” 5:49:44 AM 6/17/03 “It's too early. The above post is not what I attempted. Sassafras - If your eyes are open, you'll be OK. I woke up early to have a headlight checked. It went out last night. During car repairs in March it was replaced. I hope this does not cost me anything. The headlight alone is $150.” 5:50:29 AM 6/17/03 “It's a beautiful day and I'm happpy in Melbourne. The headlight outage was only caused by a loose connection. However, I made an appointment for some more serious work on the car tomorrow. Got all this money that I love to spend.” 9:22:21 AM 6/17/03 “Entropy Sux!” 9:25:00 AM 6/17/03 “Yep, Tilt, you're right. BTW, what happened to you yesterday? You disappeared after early morning post. Head back to sleep for the day? And how are those lungs holding? Are you out of any danger?” 9:39:01 AM 6/17/03 “Where is everyone..surely I'm not the first to rise can shine this morning? Amazing what a good night sleep will do for a person. Well, it looks like it will be a beautiful sunny weekend in the Carolinas...hope everyone has a great one!!” 5:31:29 AM 6/20/03 “It looks like another wet weekend here. 5 in row now and yet another flood watch.” 6:17:41 AM 6/20/03 6:44:45 AM 6/20/03 “Good morning!” 6:46:09 AM 6/20/03 hey NS “Yep! Still kicking! Everything semms to be progressing smoothly in the Oxygen Processing Dept. It was kinda funny how the docs kept saying that usually only happened to 20-year-olds over 6 foot 4... I just told 'em I was really only 17 but had prematurely aged due to the effects of wine, women and Folk music. Hmm... what DID happen Monday? I think I actually had to get some work done, <G>” 6:48:09 AM 6/20/03 “More rain! Noooooooooooooooooooooo” 7:22:19 AM 6/20/03 “I agree, we've had enough rain. This gloomy weather even when it isn't raining stinks too.” 7:28:55 AM 6/20/03 “Tilt - That's good. Take good care. Having an experience like you did can be a real eye-opener. The idea of you working never crossed my mind. 7:34:18 AM 6/20/03 “please don't make me think today.... i just wanna go back to bed.” 8:14:06 AM 6/20/03 “Ha! I sneaked some more coffee into the filter. The guy who gets here before me (and makes it too waek) forgot to turn on the pot so I got a second chance at a stronger cup this morning. Hey, it's a small victory, but it made my day!” 8:32:55 AM 6/20/03 “Aroubd here, I'm the only one who makes the "real" stuff. Here's a trick for you. Make it the night before, add all you want, then all you do is plug the pot in as soon as you get to work.” 8:49:47 AM 6/20/03 “tricky, tricky! so, i somehow pulled a muscle in my leg in the middle of the night. i woke up, and there was this terrible pain in my calf. LOL! i am such an idiot...how could i hurt myself so bad not doing anything? i could hardly walk this morning...but the Aleve seems to have kicked in now. :-) and WHAT happened, Tilt? i'm so confused.” 8:57:21 AM 6/20/03 “cramp?” 8:58:37 AM 6/20/03 “Where was the rat? How about the monkey's, were they somehow involved?” 8:59:39 AM 6/20/03 “no thanks, i'm trying to quit! what up, ynamster?” 8:59:40 AM 6/20/03 “how you doing Lyra loo, that sounds a little too like hamster to me :o)” 9:01:04 AM 6/20/03 “the Rat was sleeping. i kept saying, "ow, ow, ow!"...loudly, i thought. but he couldn't be bothered to wake up...LOL!! the monkeys are possible culprits. i think some of them are a little bitter that they don't get as much attention as some others.” 9:01:24 AM 6/20/03 “You got a good Charley Horse cramp in your leg. The only thing you can do to shorten their duration is point and flex your leg. It's agony, but helps tremendously.” 9:07:39 AM 6/20/03 “yeah in your calf if you straighten your leg and pull your toes towards you that should help” 9:10:44 AM 6/20/03 “okay, cool. :-) thanks!” 9:12:07 AM 6/20/03 “I didn't get any Monkey Cramps last night but I did have a case of heartburn after I ate a half-pound Cobb Dog at the baseball game. By the time I put mustard, ketchup, relish and sauerkraut on, it was a good pound!” 9:16:54 AM 6/20/03 “oh yeah, the baseball game! did you have fun? and how did you balance that huge hotdog with beers in both hands?” 9:19:12 AM 6/20/03 WoooHooo! “The beer was cold and the women were hot and I got a refrigerator magnet schedule! Everytime I turned around someone was handing me a beer! Bleh! Those Cobb Dogs take on a life of their own after you eat one! I didn't do the "Dancing Homer" though.” 9:26:25 AM 6/20/03 “nice! well, there's always next time for the "Dancing Homer." ;-)” 9:34:49 AM 6/20/03 Jump to Page << prev
