I've been a lurker here for a long time, Evergreen...just got around to posting to pick at Rox. We'll stop at the Subway in Boone around 9:30 Sat. morning to grab a sub for lunch so we'd be happy to pick you up! This is totally a great hike! This is the 4th annual Labor Day trip for us. It gets crowded, but when we hit the Pine Mtn. trail we usually have the place to ourselves. Oh, did I mention the blueberries are ripe then? Also, did I mention I make killer blueberry pancakes?

Solitude
Solitude isn't high on the list of reasons to go there, that's for sure. However, with a National Recreation Area, a State Park and 2 Wilderness Areas close at hand, it can be found. Come on along...we'll save you a seat on Space Mtn.!
