“Whoops! Sorry for the wrong impression, I went to college in Greensboro, and haven't lived there since. I have relatives near Blowing Rock, and visit there ocasionally. I love the Piedmont area, and love to visit the mountains. But about your other questions, I don't know. My young cousin seems to be doing well in school and sports, and is a genuinely sweet person....I don't know if he is the norm or the exception. My advice would be to visit several times, see if the local papers or schools have an online presence where you can read about local issues. I loved North Carolina in general. If I wasn't married, I would be living there right now. My husband loves it there too, but his career hasn't offered a transfer to there, at least not yet.”
