“who knows about the primus alpine micro stove? are they any good?” 7:08:55 PM 7/20/02 “They are awesome. I love mine. I think they have @ REI-Outlet for pretty cheap.” 8:44:51 PM 7/20/02 “Just another note: I used mine this week @ over 10,000 ft and it didn't seem to affect the boil times.” 8:49:45 PM 7/20/02 “did I see this on sale at the Sierra Trading Post?” 9:48:37 PM 7/20/02 “Is this the one they say has to use Primus fuel? Is that true? People in Montana said you could use other fuel but you know what those people in Montana are like...” 10:04:46 PM 7/20/02 “I love mine. Don't know about the use of other fuels. Not really a big deal though. It looks like it would work with some of the other cannisters, but I have not tried it.” 10:25:30 PM 7/20/02 “I got the Primus and have had exellent results from this stove. It's very compact and packs away great in the case that is supplied. It will simmer well and will heat up with the best of them. I took a handled pot from one of our good cooksets and drilled out the pin in the hole holdin the handle so when I cook I dont use the handle and when I'm ready to take it off the stove just slide the handle in and I'm ready to chow. One canister will last ya your $ worth. Heck with the priming. I recommend it. Primus Alpin Micro.” 10:45:54 PM 7/20/02 “I've used mine in all conditions, with all the fuels. Burns fine, but my only knock on the stove is that the pot supports feel a bit shakey if pushing down on the the pot like securing a lid. The other is the on off knob gets HOT! For 29.oo bucks it's hard to pass up.” 7:00:06 PM 7/21/02
