Has anyone tried to mend precips? I found that I have two tears on the seat and one on the leg of my precips. Maybe I'm better off coughing up the $69 for new ones that trying mend them. What do you think?

I DON'T KNOW
but on another topic, just out of curiosity, how old are they? do you feel ripped off that they're torn? do you feel like they should have been torn a long time ago? etc, etc. just wondering. hiked in my frog togs the other day for the last time. all they do is form a barrier from the rain and sweat. i think it'd be easier to leave em at home. been looking at the precips. heard they were nice.
sorry to change your subject.

My precips are about 9 months old - I really like them. I abused them pretty good - did a little too much bushwacking in them I think. If I can figure out how, I might mend them until I find a new pair on sale somewhere. I can't find any tears in the jacket which is the same age as the pants.

How about some fabric repair tape if the holes aren't that big?

Or perhaps a nylon patch? Like what you would use to repair a tent. They are made of ripstop nylon and I would think you could patch them. Just a suggestion. I've never owned them much less tried to patch them.
