I fit to be tied. My dogs ran off, I going through some money problems and had to hock all my firearms, and to earn some extra cash I've been picken up bottles and cans along the road.
I guess that I will not be bring'en any dogs or firearm along after all.

Stalker, we can just pick up some dogs at the pound on the way to the trail. If we don't like them then we can drop them off at bacpac's house after the hike. LOL

jgeils,
What I have done in the past is pick up a dog at the pound just before a hike and bring the dog along. But the dog doesn't come back, but we eat good. You pick the breed of dog by the size of hiking group that's going. One or two pick a small breed, heck a lab can feed 5-6 hungry hikers easy. Longer hikes, no problem just take a few more dogs along. It's really a neat way to cut down on pack weight. What do ya think?

Jgeils,
Yes in fact I do like Chinese food. And furthermore my ex-wife is still not Chinese, but I'm still waiting for the change.

Cats are great when your having a bar-b-que at home, but cats are a bitc.h on the trail, believe me stick with dogs in the backcountry.

Potbelly pigs are good when your on easy trails, but if it's rocky forget it, with their little legs rough trails are a problem and will slow you down. In a nut shell your looking for a supper that is cheap(or free), will keep up on the trail, carry it's own load, and is more or less easy to kill/clean/cook, and tastes great. I have found that dogs flip the bill.

I know that I'm going to take a lot of crap over this post, people like bacpac, all pissed off cuz I'm taken dogs where their not allowed, but oh well.

She can't get off work for the Titanium Chef 2002, but she said Starburst and I can go, whip-he.

So for everone that's just listening, start thinking about Dec7 road trip. I could be in Little Rock late Thursday night, leave early on Fri and hike in on Fri night. Feedback please.
